Work, Les miserable and races

Was nice not to go back to work on Tuesday as planned if I had been the acting NUM but now someone else doing it. So on the Tuesday just had a lazy day sorting things out and had the cleaner come round in morning. Then on Wednesday was back to work on a early which was ok people glad to see me back and new acting NUM seemed nice even if she didn't introduce herself to me. After work on Wednesday was back to gym as thought best get back into it but no running today. Then on Thursday 16th April I volunteered to move to 5 East as there were going to send the new EEN which thought might be abit unfair. So I offered to go since I know the ward and had nice shift people seemed pleased to see me also made me team leader. But there were very short staffed only had 3 of their own staff on the floor so 3 staff got sent to help. At night go watch Les miserable with lou and Nat but bus late then took a while as alot of traffic on George St. Took abit to find them as we were at different entrance and eventually found with with time to spare before started. Show started at 7.30 and much preferred the 1st half as more songs which I recognised and lasted 1hr 30. Then 2nd half only 1hr had 30min interval and went to toilet trust their to be a queue but luckily moving fast. Finished 10.30 and couldn't be bothered doing buses so got taxi which was $26. Really enjoyed Les Miserable probably helped as seen the film so knew what the storyline was about. It was beautiful to look at and listen to as is a musical epic like no other and is a truly unmissable experience but think still preferred Wicked. On Friday at work on morning again and one RN got sent to 5East again so left me with two New graduates, an Enhanced enrolled nurse and 2 students but at least only 14 patients. So the EEN specialised two patients so left 4 for the rest of us and had a nice morning 2 admissions which the NG's couldn't do as never done before,so I did one. Then had another RN arrive at 11.30 so she did the other admission which was good and finished on time. Went to gym when home wasn't bothered about going so took abit to motivate myself to go but once there enjoyed and ended up been their for 1h 30 mins. As ran over 5kms on treadmill best done for ages in just over 35 mins and pace under 10 so very happy with it. Then on Saturday off to Randwick races with Tiago woke up before10 then have breakfast just poached eggs but probably should of had more. Didn't take too long to get ready as I knew what I as going to wear my purple dress but took a while to do my hair as just wouldn't go right. Luckily the weather was nice as was worried it might rain since it had done yesterday. We were going to get a taxi there but couldn't find any from neutral bay then bus turned up so caught that to town hall then got taxi. Got to Randwick races just before 1 so we missed the first race and we weren't sure if had time to bet on 2nd race but choose who we wanted. Then trust the horses which we would of bet on to come 2nd and 3rd. It was then to get drinks and was actually cheaper to get a bottle of sparkling rose than a glass as only small glasses. But we did bet on the 3rd and my horse actually won 'Slightly sweet' so not a bad start to the day. Only thing is we couldn't find seating at first but eventually found good seats in the sun nice beach chairs very comfy. The fourth race we didn't do aswell and both off our horses came no where but Tiago's horse 'Barrister' was in lead for most of it. I then let Tiago put the next bet on for us and he forgot to put for place so was win and was very luckily as my horse 'Gypsy diamond' won. Nat and Lou were also at the races so Nat came to say hi and then I went to see the others invited us to join them but thought Tiago happier where he was as would be with 6 girls. It was then time to put on our next bet for the 6th race and this time is was Tiago's horses turn to win 'Dissident' and my horse came no way. We then thought we best get something to eat as on our 2nd bottle of wine so I went to get sausage rolls but person behind me left without paying as no one to stop him. Only 2 more races left so the 7th race Tiago's horse came 3rd but think since bad odds was good winning over $50. Unfortuantely for the last race both off our horses came no way and then time to collect all our winning as done on TAB machine and over $80 which isn't bad. It was also Tiago's first time been to the races and he enjoyed but probably helped as nice day and we won. We got a taxi back home and then with our winning we got a pizza take away for dinner.

Goodbyes and Sydney here I come

Friday 10th April can't believe only 2 days left til I fly back to Australia. On Friday woke up 8ish and think only woke up once in night obvisiously sleeping better when nearly due to fly back, typical. Sharon came round after 9 and then we all went to John Lewis minus Dad as had his doctors appointment. We thought John Lewis might have a few deals or offers on since it's there 1 year anniversary since opened, but nothing. We had coffee in John Lewis and Ellie wanted chocolate rice cakes but then hardly ate it. Ellie got a little bored John Lewis as just wanted to play in the kitchen with the real appliances but Sharon did get curtains for Ellie's new room. Anna and Elsa from frozen film were there today for anniversary  and followed them around for abit. Before eventually having her picture taken with them but wouldn't have one with Cookie Monster. We all bought something from next and then to range for Sharon to look for new bathroom mirror. In range me and Ellie played on the swing chairs to keep her busy so Mum and Sharon could find what there wanted. On way home Ellie fell asleep and got home before 2ish have lunch just sandwiches. Then Ellie saw my Easter egg and wanted some but once tried didn't like as dark chocolate. We then all went to Sharon's house so could play outside in playhouse since a nice day and Ellie had us washing all the plates. Dad did a few DIY jobs like putting the curtain rail up in Ellie's new room and then me and Ellie made the bed together. On way home quickly stopped at the co-op supermarket to get a few things and home just before 6. It was then all to get showered and changed as out for meal with Linda and Stuart tonight. Which gave me chance to wear my skirt and top which I bought with me from Australia as rest of time to cold to wear. Linda and Stuart picked and then we went to Aldwark Arms which Peter runs who used to work at Crown with me. Was the first time been and very impressed with place, very busy and sat straight at the table, me and Mum shared a bottle of wine. We all had starters mine was feta but thought would get bread with it, luckily Stuart didn't want his with his soup. For main I had the surf n turn was very nice but couldn't eat all the chips and tried Mums version which was also good. Left before 10pm back to our for a drink and once everyone left trust me to fall asleep on sofa and bed 1.30. Woke up 8.30 breakfast then speak to Tiago on Skype at 9.30, unfortunately connection not the best so didn't use video as kept losing connection. After finish speaking to Tiago Mum and Dad went food shopping and to bets on Grand National horse race, whilst I tried to do some packing. But couldn't fit everything in suitcase once so Mum got home at 12 got her to help but still not happening. So have lunch last British bacon sandwich for a while then phoned Emirates to check if can have 2 pieces of luggage. Luckily can have 2 pieces of luggage as long as under 30kg and should of remembered as when flew out first time to Australia had 2 pieces. Once I knew I could have 2 bits of luggage so much easier to pack as used Dads old holdall and was finished still unde 30kg. After finish packing was time to go see Nanna for the last so left just after 2ish with Mum to go to Ripon. Went to Oliver's pantry a quickly cafe just off market street in Ripon which is new to me as not here last time. Nanna treated us to cake and coffee, had such a great selection off homemade goodies that it was hard to choose. So we ended up having 3 different cakes treacle tart, carrot cake and rhubarb frangipani, which was my favourite. Nanna had mentioned that she wanted to get Tiago a present so got him some Yorkshire lager to try. Got home 4.30ish and we had missed the Grand National race but my horse didn't win so not that bothered. So I went to see Margaret with mum who was happy to see me as haven't seen her for ages and looked well. We then went to Sharon's 6ish and Ellie very active wanting to play horsey with Ben probably after seeing the Grand National race. Have Indian take away meal deal for dinner which Mum & Dad collected then Ellie went to bed 7.30. The meal deal was nice but think preferred the starters and no one that keen on the korma as thought was too sweet. After meal have wine and watch TV for abit then left 10ish but no tears as hopefully see Sharon in 18months. Is just a shame won't be there to see the new baby when born in July but it's not like there will know who I am til older. Once home have  some more wine, then bed before midnight and quickly packed Tiago's lager in case before I forget. Woke up in night then 7 and luckily back to sleep til 8 so not too bad for me. Once up have smoothie for breakfast banana, summer fruit, spinach, avocado, almond milk and honey was nice but very thick. It was then shower and time to get ready luckily put my clothes out yesterday what I was going to travel in so at least didn't take long. Also trust it to start raining 30 minutes before we had to leave but didn't last long and lunda phoned before we left to wish me well, which thought was sweet of her. Ended up leaving at 10.15 roads quite at first but got busier once on the M62 and very strong winds at summit of M62 but at least no rain. Got to airport for 12 and time to take picture of me with all my luggage before we joined the long queue for dropping bags off. Don't know why such a long queue for dropping bags off but soon got moving once their opened more check in desks. Luckily my person very nice as my luggage weighed 32kg when only supposed to have 30kg. Which strange as only supposedly weighed 29kg when I did it at home but said wouldn't make me pay if hand luggage less than 7kg and was only 4kg. After checked in had to take my luggage to different area since their had straps and was soft not hard. It was then to say goodbye to Mum and Dad which was upsetting but didn't cry as hopefully seeing them in February when come to me. Then go through security and trust it to beep as I went through so was searched and then had to go back through minus my shoes. Once through time to look in shops first stop clarins and so much cheaper than retail shops got face creams but couldn't get toner and cleanser as to big to take through security. It was then to next where I got my star socks and then go look at shoes in Kurt Geiger. Was lots of nice shoes in Kurt Geiger couldn't decided between snake print ballerina and sandal ones, eventually choose sandal ones. Got to gate at 13.40 but first toilet stop and expected to be boarding but didn't end up start boarding til 14hrs. So thought it would be abit late for take off at 14.05 and trust someone to be sat in my seat again. As sat in 62K a window and the person sat in my seat was even in the wrong aisle was supposed to be one behind me. The one in the middle seat wasn't happy as wanted to swap with person on the aisle but she wanted it keep since long legs. I ended up reading my book til 3ish and didn't end up been in the air until 14.50, so 45 minutes later than planned. It was then time to watch films first was 'The Gambler' which was ok but nothing special got snack and drink during film. By the time film finished had under 5 hours left of flight and then lunch came either grilled chicken or lamb curry, had the chicken but only ate half of it. I then watched 'Into the Woods' a modern twist on several beloved Brothers Grimm fairytale intertwining a few classic tales. Was a good film if your in the mood for a neat fantasy filled musicals that is a uniquely original fairytale with characters you know and love. Next film to watch was 'Cake' a drama of how to deal with pain and was better than expected. Got drink and ice-cream during and by time film was only an hour left of flight so no point watching another film. So watched NCIS Los Angelas x 2 but only got half way through second one before we landed in Dubai. Landed at 1am local time in Dubai which was an hour later than originally planned. Which meant we only had an hour to make next flight luckily once off was person waiting for all people travelling to Sydney. So he escorted us all through security and actually made to our gate with 30 minutes to spare. Supposed to depart at 2.05 but didn't get in the air until 2.45 but at least this time the middle seat was empty so could stretch out more. Once in air finished watched NCIS LA and other 2 episodes but had to watch 3rd again as fell asleep. It was then breakfast which I didn't like had choice omelette or scrambled eggs and had the omelette not good ate the fruit and crossiant. Then time for sleep, sat window seat again 55K this time and nice to have middle seat empty slept on & off for 2-3 hours. Once woke up time for another film 'Annie' which was not as good as the old one but still liked the music. During film got a snack pizza and drink and ate it all as so hungry since hardly touched much of the other food. I then watched 'Whiplash' as had good reviews is about a gifted drummer is astounding makes you wanting more. Next was 'Lucy' and get dinner but ate none as didn't like the look of it and film was better than I expected a very memorable female action film. Once the film finished only an hour left of flight so no time for another film instead watched Modern Family x 1. Then since getting close to landing took the headphones so read book and on landing a few kids crying. Also even though we left Dubai late we still managed to land 10 minutes earlier than planned so landed at 21.50 Sydney time. Luckily security didn't take too long and only had to wait a few minutes for my luggage to come through. Once in departure lounge couldn't see Tiago at first but then he appeared so nice to see him again. The roads were quiet so home in 20 minutes and once home have a chat then to bed as Tiago at work tomorrow. I had lovely time back home in UK and think I saw most people only disappointing thing is I didn't take more pictures.

More catch ups busy last week

Monday 6th April woke up during night, got up 8ish and pick up Rachel at 10.30 from York train station. Also things get free parking for 20 minutes which was a bonus and somehow we missed each other in station so met near car park. Was nice to see her again and then it was straight to York Designer outlet to do some shopping. First thing for me to buy was some gap jean leggings which fit just perfectly and aches wanted some new replay ones but wasn't sure. For some reason we didn't end up having lunch til 2ish just a bagel meal deal as obviously too busy shopping. After lunch was more shopping where I got asics trainers for works, Nike running vests and a Paul Smith one piece bikini. I really fancied a new dress or shoes but could I find no it's always when ou want something you can never find. Was going to get some new Nike running as had different patterns but didn't appear to be that much cheaper. Have coffee & cake 4ish then do abit more shopping and go back to replay where Rachel got some new jeans not the ones she saw in window. Somehow didn't end up leaving til 6ish and was leaving when Sharon wanted crocs for Ellie which I got after sending a few pictures. Got home before 7 had Mum's homemade steak and ale pie for dinner which is Rachel's favourite was very nice. Then after 8 we all went round to Stuart and Linda's for drinks which was good as obvisiosly Rachel met them in Australia and didn't leave til after 10pm. Once home me and Rachel got chance to catch up for abit before going to bed before midnight. I slept on the air mattress in Ellie's roomas didn't think my bed big another for two people. Didn't sleep the best woke up 3, 5, 7ish and then eventually got up 8.30 and was surprised to see that Rachel already up. Have breakfast get ready ready then left 10.30ish had choice Monks Cross or going into York centre, Rachel not bothered so decided on Monks Cross. Unfortunately was abit of traffic going so didn't end up getting there til 11ish and first stop TKMaxx but not much there but did get Tiago a top. It was then to look round Monks Cross but nothing I wanted only got beauty products from boots so nothing exciting. Then to John Lewis and M&S shopping area where got another lingerie set from M&S, it was then lunch was going to have afternoon tea at M&S. But unfortunately didn't do anymore so just had sandwich and simnel cake is a light fruit cake with layer of marzipan which I like the best. We then went to look round John Lewis was a few nice things but nothing I really wanted and ended up leaving 4.30ish. Got to York train station 5ish Rachel's train at 5.15 so at least we didn't have to wait too long. If I had thought I think we should of really gone into York centre as more choice of shops and might of bought more things. Once home Dad sat on the door step waiting to get in just before 6 as he had forgotten to take a house key. Mum home after 6.30ish have dinner after 7 just salad, watch TV rest of night, play on internet and bed 11.30. For a change I actually slept quite well on Tuesday night only woke up once in night for a change and then up 7.30 as at doctors this morning. Luckily as soon as I got to doctors didn't have to wait long think Dr abit unsure of giving me prescription as supposed to be in UK for 6 months of year. Once done collect paper for Dad then post some of the eBay things which I eventually sold, not for much but at least sold. When home go to Aldwark Manor and spa with Mum as got a groupon voucher to use the leisure facilities got there 9.40. Since got we got to use all the facilities thought it be a shame not to use gym but Mum went straight to the pool area. So was only in gym for about an hour first was cross trainer for 15 mins, a funny machine and ran in treadmill 2.44 kms for 15 mins and then core exercises. It was then to the spa area to join Mum first was the steam room which was very hot so not in to long and straight in pool afterwards to cool off. Then to use the rest of the facilities the jacuzzi, sauna, pool, steam room, pool and ended up doing 30 laps in the pool. Left the pool area just after 12 and was a nice way to spend the morning just to chill out and relax. After we left the pool was for our complimentary coffee and pastry whilst admiring the beautiful view outside. On way home stop at Andrew's garage for him to check oil in mini and just caught him before he was leaving for the day. Once home sort my more stuff out then go to Boroughbridge to take stuff to charity shop and do supermarket shop. At night meeting Lisa my friend from King James school in knaresborough we usually go to cinema but unfortunately nothing to see. Supposedly meeting about 7pm but Lisa running abit late as catching bus so could have a drink. Met just after 7pm and decided go to 'So' were we shared the platter which we had before and not as good as last time. Was good to catch up as been a while, Lisa looked so well and been very busy with work. Got home after 10pm not tired at first so watch TV with wine til 11.30ish and fell asleep on sofa, then made it to bed 1ish. Woke up during in night and got up just before 9ish, breakfast and play on internet. Eventually go for a run 11ish and managed it run it all again which was just over 2 miles in under 20 minutes. Mum and Dad got home before 12 as had been to hospital as Dad needed chest X-ray and off sick with his leg ulcer, luckily everything ok. Have sandwich together then left just after 1ish but had to stop to get petrol first and only took about an hour to get to Meadowhall. Since there abit early before meeting Ruth gave me chance to have a quick look round and eventually get birthday cards for godson's. Then meet Ruth and Joseph who is now 1 years old near food court at 2.45 and go for coffee and cake. But unfortunately not much choice of cakes mostly slices or cupcakes, so had carrot cake high was nice. Was nice to catch up as never got to catch up with Ruth when last home so last saw in November 2012. It was then to look round the shops but bought nothing then for drink in food court at McDonald's had a mango smoothie. Joseph was very smiley, cute and has such big eyes but near end he was getting tired and left them about 5ish. Then to look round the shops some more and found some nice trousers in oasis but not my size and meet Inga just before 6. Meet rest of uni mates Ellie, Crystal and Jo at 6.30pm in the food court it was then to decide where to eat. We fancied going to the Thai place but Inga doesn't like to spicy so ended up at Wagamama a Japanese restaurant. Even though we haven't seen each other for ages we talked for ages as so much to catch up on. Quite funny even though we all did nursing together only Inga still in her originally job everyone else moved. As Crystal just finished her midwifery training, Jo now a health visitor, Ellie still in oncology but moved hospitals. Inga ended up leaving before 8pm as flying to Greece tomorrow so had to go finish her packing. But we were so busy chatting, never laughed so much even had pictures taken and trust us to get photo bombed. Didn't ended up leaving til after 9pm and left Meadowhall 9.15 as had to phone Mum and Dad before I left so knew when to expect me. But unfortunately roadworks so detour between junctions 41& 42 so ended up going through villages and had no idea where I was. Luckily when I came out at the end knew where I was at end of M62 so didn't end up getting home til 11pm. Think Mum and Dad was abit worried as looking out of their bedroom window when I arrived and couldn't reach phone to let them know. So once explained to them why late was not tired so watch TV with a delightful curious hendrick's gin & tonics then bed 1ish.

Easter

Can't believe it's Easter and I have been home nearly 2 weeks how the time has flown only a week left. Up early on Good Friday got up just before 7 and actually slept well only woke up once in the night which is a novelty. We picked Nanna up at 8.30 then go straight to Ripon as having my hair colour done today since couldn't have it done last time. I fancied a change aswell either red or purple but ended up going a plum colour as Jo my hairdresser thought red may be no good. Unfortunately whilst having my hair dried my earring fell out and we found the back but not the front but their will continue looking. It was then to find Mum and Nanna luckily didn't take long and found them in Sainsburys as looking for creme egg Easter egg for Sharon. But luckily Nanna got mine a green and black's Easter egg tasting collection so since never found we went to Morrisons afterwards, but no success. Got home 11.30 and when shaking my clothes I found the front of my earring in my bra how funny... It was then to go to Sharon's got there after 12 and was very fortunate was just making sausage sandwich so I got one aswell. Then go to Clare's got their 1.30 look round her house first as haven't seen it since she has done all the work. The place was done out very nicely, very neutral colours and still some work to do but mainly downstairs. We then all went to Kidzplay centre an indoor soft play area in Harrogate with Clare, Becky, Henry, Rubi and Matilda. It was the first time Becky and Sharon had seen how Ellie and Henry play together and their played so well. But think there were abit confused a first as expecting their Nanna's/ Grandma's to be there as that's who they are usually with when their meet. Whilst the children all happily played together it gave us chance to catch up and have a hot drink. Also was nice how Ellie had some food and she shared it well with Henry without even been asked. All kids the kids cried once from tripping or been hit by ball and didn't end up leaving til after 5. We then had to  stop at M&S food on way back for something for Ellie's dinner but think she only wanted as Henry going. Got home 6ish have cuppa then go for fish n chips at Harper's in Ripon with Mum and Dad as have to have fish on a Good Friday. Harper's fish n chips is a new restaurant from when I was last in the UK and served great quality fish and chips. The food was delightful, the batter on the fish was just right, chips were lovely and the staff were happy, nice to have proper British fish n chips. I had a full fish and chips which was far too much couldn't eat it all whilst Mum and Dad had the senior citizenship one. The Harper's senior citizens special came with dessert which we got and tried both but didn't manage it all. At night watch TV found film Shawshank Redemption an excellent film and bed 1ish after falling asleep on sofa. Did not sleep the best woke up 7, 7.30, 8 and eventually got up 8.30ish. Had breakfast then decided I would go for a run as seem like all I have done since been back is eat and done no exercise. Also Mum and Dad had gone out to sort out changing banks, spoke to Joan first as first time seen her since been back. Ended up going for a run just 11am ran round Dunsforth only had to walk once was a lot better than expected. Actually managed to run 3.10kms in less than 20 minutes which I thought want too bad since not been outside for ages. Only thing is once I got home my ears and hands felt very cold so next time will definitely have to wear my headband and gloves  Once home sorted through a few more off my things and actually put some on eBay, Mum and Dad home after 1. Have some lunch then go to Monks Cross with Mum before 2, first stop was John Lewis where get blue star blanket for Monica and Mauro new baby. Saw Family relation Rozita and Abigail mother and daughter who both work at John Lewis make up counters. It was then to do the supermarket shop at Asda and I didn't ended up buying much, very disappointing home after 6. For dinner me and Mum having the Ostrich steak which we got on Thursday tasted good and very low in fat. I then stayed in with Mum and Dad to watch the TV final of voice and Stevie won who we expected to win, bed midnight. On Easter woke up 6ish and few more times then eventually got up just after 8am. Have breakfast a fruit smoothie and then supposed to be speaking to Tiago on Skype but he was at gym so have to wait til 9.30. Ended up speaking on Skype at 9.45 and had a good chat didn't feel like that long but spoke for just under 2 hours. Mum and Dad went out when I just going on Skype to look at cars and by time there were back was still talking to Tiago. Once Mum and Dad back Mum made bacon sandwiches nice to have proper British bacon and then went to Skip bridge car boot sale. I didn't end up getting dressed til 1.30 and did some more recycling of clothes before going for a run at 3ish. Was very proud managed to run all the way round Dunsforth today which was 2 miles and was more sunny but still wore my headband and gloves to keep warm. Have a shower then Auntie Christine arrive just before 4ish and bought us a box of Easter treats, whilst Dad went to pick up Nanna. As Auntie Christine had sent me message on Facebook saying would be nice to meet whilst I was home so Mum offered to do a roast dinner. Whilst waiting for dinner to be ready we had cups of tea as that all Auntie Christine drink, think Nanna disappointed no alcohol. Had dinner 5.30ish roast chicken dinner with all the trimmings and then raspberry mousse was all very nice.  Was very nice to see Auntie Christine again and she looked so well and can't believe how long we spoke as she didn't leave til 9ish. After everyone left watch with a gin and tonic then finish watching Skyfall and bed midnight. 

Catch ups, afternoon tea and pampering

On Saturday 28th March did not not sleep the best again woke up 5, 7 then kept waking up every 15 minutes so eventually got up 8. Get to hairdressers at 10.30 then realise Sharon had given us the wrong time was an hour early so went to shops and Mum got a scarf. Back to hairdressers at 11.30 and I had my hair done first but only had 1 inch taken off as needed it. Unfortuantely I wanted to have my colour but couldn't do it so had to book in for Good Friday. Afterwards pick up watch and had made over $40 on jewellery which I took there which I no longer needed. It was then to lunch to the little cafe and very luckiky got the last table had Welsh rarebit is posh cheese & toast. We then did more shopping but didn't get much and drove the mini again which felt a lot better home 4ish and wrap presents as meeting Sarah on Sunday. For dinner had gammon, pineapple and salad as don't seem to do proper gammon in Australia, rest of night watch TV and drink sparkling wine. Spoke to Tiago on Skype just after 10pm and Barney had to get in on camera, see picture and then bed 1ish as fell asleep on sofa. Woke up in night again and got up 8ish breakfast then tried to do abit of recycling of my clothes as if you look in my wardrobes would still think I lived here. It was then to go see Sarah at 1 and Jessica was just finishing lunch then we went to Monks Cross. It was my first time meeting Jessica and she was very cute but she fell asleep whilst we looked round shops. Is new shops now at Monks Cross a massive John Lewis which was very nice and then for afternoon tea at M&S. The afternoon tea was very nice had a selection of sandwiches and a scone each with proper clotted cream. Leave shops at 4ish then back to Sarah's for a cuppa and see Jessica's room very nice then leave 5.45. Once home everyone already there for Mum's roast pork dinner was nice to have a proper roast dinner and couldn't believe how much Ellie liked pork crackling. Ellie ended up staying overnight, then I sorted out my CDs and DVDs to sell on magic magpie and sleep before midnight as watched a film. Woke up to Ellie crying at 6ish then back to sleep til 8ish when phone rang and got up 8.30. Have breakfast and leave 10ish to go to Sharon's to drop Ellie off have latte and played peppa pig dominoes with Ellie. Me and mum leave before 12 to go to Asda first to get a few things for Nanna aswell. Then arrive at Academy health club at 12.30 for Mum's Mother's Day pampering day. Get shown around first then go in the sauna as no point going in pool yet and getting wet as our treatments at 1.30. I had a massage and facial very relaxing and my face felt very soft, Mum just had an hour massage which she enjoyed. It was then time for our afternoon tea after our treatments at 2.45 and was nice that we could eat in our dressing gowns. For our afternoon tea we had a variety of finger sandwiches 4 varieties prawn, salmon, ham and egg. Then there was the sweet things scones with clotted cream and chocolate peppermint cake which was far sweet, only had a mouthful all with a cuppa of tea. After afternoon tea was into the spa but felt too full so only went in jacuzzi and steam room, but was not as warm as the center parc ones. If we had known we could use all the spa facilities and the gym would of arrived earlier so could of had better use of them. Ended up leaving 4ish once home didn't have to wait long then Sharon and Ellie arrive have cuppa, get changed and leave before 6pm. Stopped at Sharon's on way back then go to Harrogate to meet the running lot and go to Yorkshire Meatball Company. The Yorkshire Meatball company is a speciality meatball restaurant, Clare was 1st there then Sue and Julie arrive was nice to see everyone and have a good catch up. Food was very nice you get to choose the ball, bed and blanket combo I had spicy balls with root vegetables and spicy sauce. All combos come with Yorkshire puddings which not sure went that well with mine but still ate it whilst some of the other had with mash and gravy, which would go better. We all shared the presco and all had a pudding I had espresso balls which was a shot of expresso with vanilla ice-cream and chocolate pouring sauce. Was all very nice and would definitely go again but unfortuantely I forget to get a picture of us all together. When we left trust it to be raining luckily Clare got picked up right outside place by Simon. But we had to walk to car but luckily me and Sue remembered our brollies so didn't get to wet then Sharon kindly gave Sue and Julie a left home. Got home about 9.30ish not that tired so watched NCIS then bed on the air mattress again woke up in night and got up 8.30ish. Have breakfast then Mum and Ellie arrive 10.30 have coffee was nice sunny day but still cold, Ellie dress up as Elsa from Frozen. Leave 11.30ish and decided to all go to Ripon as thought might be too cold to go to the Spa gardens in the heart of Ripon. First stop was lunch went to 'So' me, Sharon and Mum shared nachos and bread with hummus, whilst Ellie had egg and chips which she ate it all. Look round shops then Sharon go to hairdressers at 2pm so we looked round more shops and go to building society to sort out my books. We were going to go to Booths for coffee as supposedly get free but now only get free take away one, which we had. Sharon didn't finish at hairdressers til 4pm and we picked her up since it was now hail stoning. On way back to their house Ellie fell asleep tried to keep get awake but didn't happen and we got home 5ish. Once home sort through the rest of my CD's and DVD's to sell on magic magpie ended up parceling up two boxes, bed 11.30ish. Did not sleep the best woke up a few times, eventually woke up 7 and couldn't get back to sleep so read book for abit which I finished. Wednesday 1st April today which is Sharon's birthday and she arrived 9ish where she opened presents then me and Mum got ready and left just before 10am. Used the new park n ride bus from Poppleton into York which dropped off us right in the center and easier than driving in. Got into town just before 11ish first stop Fenwicks where I only bought clairns triple serum gift set. Sharon had her make up done at mac so me and Mum went to M&S where I got some more lingerie was was in the sale. By the time finished Sharon arrived and went to Browns department store but bought nothing. It was then to the Mulberry factory shop which only found out on Monday that it existed from Sue and Julie. Always wanted a mulberry bag so would be rude not to buy one when cheaper, the one I really wanted was £1100 but didn't get that one. Was a few to choose from was a nice blue one but got the blue Kate Spade one in Vegas so ended up with a chocolate but also came in tan and black. It was then to lunch at Lucia had to wait abit for a table we then shared vegetable platter and mussels. I then had salad but couldn't eat it all as so full Sharon got a free non alcoholic cocktail for her birthday. We then went back to the Mulberry shop afterwards and Sharon got a nice grey purse for her birthday which her and Mum both paid half. I really fancied a new purse but there wasn't one what I really wanted but at least I got my bag. Mum and Sharon then went to Barnett to get some DIY things but I continued shop but found nothing else to buy. We were going to go to Betty's for tea and a fat rascal but unfortuantely we were all still full so didn't ended up going. Caught the bus back at 5pm and by the time we got home was 6ish have cuppa then Sharon go home. I then went to Nanna's to drop her Asda shop which we got on Monday got there 7ish and was only there about an hour. Once home just chill and trust me to fall asleep on the bed and eventually went to bed 11ish. Woke up 7, 8 and then eventually got up 8.30 have breakfast smoothie using Mum's magic bullet which blended very well. I then spoke to Tiago on Skype as night time in Sydney and ended up speaking for over an hour and 30 minutes. Mum had then lost car keys but luckiky in Sharon's car from yesterday which was a relief. Sharon arrive 11ish and then we all went to Clifton Moor asSharon looking for bedding and curtains for allies new room but only found a lampshade. Only thing is the shops at Clifton Moor are all very similar so didn't buy much but we got ostrich steak to try. Ended up having lunch at Costa Coffee only had coffee and sandwich as not really that much choice to eat unless want McDonald's. Got home after 4 have cuppa then get changed as out tonight with my old workmates from Byland ward from Harrogate hospital. On way out stop at shop in Knaresborough to drop off my boxes for magic magpie. Eating at Lucia again the same place we ate yesterday but this time in Harrogate not York but no parking onsite of parked on side street. I arrived the same time as Brian about 7ish and we were the first to arrive then joey, Sarah and Helen last to arrive. So only ended up been the 5 of us and was nice to have a catch up with everyone and nice to hear Hartogate hospital still the same. Also made me giggle that my name is still on the roster but I handed in my notice a year ago, but at least I have no shifts wrote in. We all had starters and main but no puddings which we fancied but I had a nice baileys coffee to finish off the night. Was a good night just nice to find not how everyone is going and we all had a good laugh as Brian very amusing. Didn't end up getting home til 11ish and not tired so watched TV for abit then bed 12.30.
