Birthday celebrations

On Thursday 18th June night out with work in Concord eating at Briars at Greenlees. Since meeting at 5pm was no point going home so took clothes to change into and went to Rhodes to post parcel to pass time. Ended up arriving at the place just after 5pm and was only a few there and some didn't arrive til nearly 6pm. The place is a hidden gem and wry good food at reasonable prices have $12 club classics. I ended up having one of the club classics a steak sandwich was great value and tasted good. There is also a nice outdoor area for families but unfortunately wasn't the weather for it as it was raining. Was nice to see everyone out of work and didn't end up leaving til about 8.20pm. As Rebekah had to wait for her partners trice to take her to work the night shift so a few off is waited with her. But when left was speaking to Tiago so forgot to put google map on, so ended up getting abit lost and took me a different way home came out near Drummoyne. On Friday at work on an early and had a nice shift also had chance to discuss with Kate regarding my CNS, so I know what I have to do now.  We also had a staff meeting but I missed abit as kept answering the buzzers so never got to say what I wanted and we still don't know who will be acting NUM. Out tonight again with work mates for Hannah's and Kaylene's belated leaving do but went home first, since not out til 7pm. Which was nice as gave me chance to see Tiago briefly before I went as he how gets to finish early on a Friday. I got there just after 7pm and eating at Cookie Lounge Bar in North Strathfield is basically pub food which is reasonably cheap. Was nice to see everyone ended up been me, Hannah, Kaylene, Kim, Sarah, Ivy and Marisa unfortunately Rebekah couldn't make it. Had a lovely meal I ended up having the calamari salad which had watermelon and desiccated coconut on, which made it very refreshing. Can't believe it's been over 6 months since Kaylene left and she is loving her community job. Whilst hannah only been gone about a month is still in Palliative care at Mount Druitt and so much happier. Before we all left we arranged about meeting again and maybe going to go see Mumford and sons in concert. Afterwards went to Cheeky Chocolate room for something sweet but Marisa and Ivy went home as Marisa had to go do mummy duties. Was lots of delicious sweets but ended up only having a dark hot chocolate but Hannah had a sticky date pudding which we all tasted was good.  We had also mentioned about going bowling but never ended up happening as we were just too busy chatting. Once we left at 22.30 realised that there was a free car park could of parked in but only cost me $10 so not too bad. On Saturday 20th June was going to go to horse races was sunny but rained all week so decided against it. Went for breakfast at Maisy's which was lovely I had the chorizo sausage with chilli eggs whilst Tiago had a big breakfast. Maisy's is a 24/7 cafe which has a relaxed feel with plenty of variety and even the coffee tasted good as well. Afterwards went shopping to Westfield Warrigah Mall only 20 minutes drive away for Tiago to get my birthday present since not of to races. Wasn't really sure what I fancied Tiago suggested a dressy watch which sounded a good idea. Saw a watch I liked but far too expensive was over $600 and he found online but not sure how good site was. So instead he got me a Nicole fendel bracelet which he bought for me online once we got home. I also saw some nice Swarovski black earrings online so I said would look on Monday when I go to the city. At night we went to his old work colleagues 50th birthday party at West Penant Hills. Was going to get bus there, then we could go in city afterwards but realised would be pain so Tiago drove. Only 20 minutes drive away and got there 6ish but wasn't sure where it was at first but luckily someone else was arriving at the same time. Everyone seemed nice and was a few people who were Brazilian including his old work colleague Ana. Tiago kindly said I could drink since it is my birthday on Monday but only had 2 glasses of red and had homemade pizza which was lovely. We ended up leaving at 8 and thought about maybe going to the Oaks for drink but ended up having an early night as felt tired. On sunday was supposed to go to church was wake early but went back to sleep so ended up missing church. Tiago offered to do BBQ tonight for my birthday with his brother Diego and Gabi so we went to Coles to get food. Afterwards we went to the city as really wanted some scones and didn't want it to make them myself. We got there 2ish and went to the one in Circular Quay where we have been before and was just as nice as we remembered, see picture. Once home chilled for abit then went to the gym at 4.45 but didn't go running tonight just on the cross trainer and bike. When home quick shower then his brother Diego arrived and bought me a lovely bunch of yellow flowers but unfortunately no vase but found a jug to use. Then Gabi arrived abit later and Tiago ended up doing a good BBQ had sausage, chicken wings and steak. I also did some sweet potato wedges which went down well and Gabi bought the Brazilian dish farofa. We also told them about going snowboarding to New Zealand in August and would like to come with us, if there can. Monday 22nd June by birthday woke up with Tiago as didn't want to open my presents on my own was going to go back bed but couldn't get back to sleep. Got lots of nice gifts earring, necklace and English from Sharon, Ben and Ellie, gilet from Nanna. Mum and Dad got me chocolate and a ketchup as still got to get my main presents, Debbie got me accessorize sandals and dark chocolate bounties. Then Rachel got me some perfume and Sarah a new lunch bag and some Percy pig sweets. It was then time to have a nice later in my new ketchup mug and wear my new sandals. Since couldn't get back to sleep went to the gym 11ish for something to do since not meeting Nat til later. Was very happy actually managed to run 3.53 kms in under 20 minutes which was best I have run in a while. Got to the city about 1.30 and straight to the Swarovski shop to get my earrings from Tiago for my birthday and luckily could use his Westfield gift card. It was then to go meet Nat at Hyde Park for the Winter Garden festival which has an ice skating rink, zorb ball, inflatable slide and snowboard machine. But at first couldn't find it as expected it to be in Hyde Park but is actually in front of St Mary's Catherdral. St Mary's Cathedral stands as a statement of grace and beauty, proving to be an unbeatable backdrop for the ice skating rink. Nat asked me to check out ice skating rinks times and tickets once there as we might have to wait, I checked is every hour and $50 couple skate package. But unfortunately Nat not there for 2 so no point me getting tickets yet and she ended up arriving 2.15. Also once Nat arrived I also got more birthday presents as Nat got me a scarf and Lou a nice stripe jumper from gap. Once Nat arrived was time to get our ice skating tickets which included boot hire. But unfortunately to late to go on so booked for 3pm we were going to have lunch but know where near us, so just had Lindt hot chocolates. Whilst having our hot chocolates realised her friend Sarah was there aswell so went to see her for abit whilst we waited to go ice skating. The ice skating rink was luckily not that busy was a few kids but I cant remember when I last went ice skating. So I kept myself next to the edge of the rink did try to tell them I wanted a penguin but wouldn't let me have one as for the kids. You could feel the cold air on your face and the ice below your toes on Australia's largest open air ice skating rink with a beautiful backdrop. Off course we had to get one of the staff to take a picture of us as would be rude not to have a picture. Nat was very confident at ice skating and was constantly lapping, also trust me to fall over but only once and luckily didn't hurt myself. We didn't end up staying on for the full 50 minutes and think we only had 40 minutes in the end as was getting abit cold and hungry. It was was then to go for food was know where we fancied close by so ended up going to darling harbour. Went to Baai an Italian restaurant with a lovely view of the harbour unfortusntely just missed the lunch special as finished at 4pm. Luckily drinks was on offer so would be ride not to have a drink but had to to the bar ourselves to get the drinks on offer and has to be the same drink. Ended up having the pumpkin risotto as didn't want anything to heavy since eating later than expected and out tonight with Tiago. Unfortunately was supposed to be home by 5pm to speak to the whole family on Skype but didn't end up getting home til about 5.30. Had quick shower then spoke to Mum and Ellie on Skype, as Sharon already gone to work and Dad to hospital. But unfortunately Mum couldn't get the camera work but luckily there could see me and Ellie even sung happy birthday to me which was was very sweet. Only spoke for just over 30 minutes because then I had to get ready to go out tonight as out for meal tonight with Tiago. Luckily it didn't take me long to get ready as already knew what I was wearing my stripe dress and new boots with the scarf Nat got me. Decided to try somewhere different for dinner so had booked to go Pony lounge and dining in the heart of the Rocks. As have walked past before which looked nice is a Mediterranean and Australian cuisine and also had good reviews. Booked table for 7pm and luckily I arrived on time but unfortunately Tiago got held up by client so was late. We had an amazing meal shared the chorizo to start and we could off had a selection of small dishes to have tapas. But decided to have the 8 hour slow roasted lamb shoulder with mash potato which was cooked just right. We also shared a jug of pony's summer sangria which was slightly different to usual sangria but still tasted good. As there sangria was made with gin, white wine, orange, Apple, lemon and mango as thought sangria was usually made with red wine. We both enjoyed the meal and will definitely go again but didn't have dessert as nothing what we fancied but did have a peppermint tea. It wasn't a late night and once home we just chilled so at least I had a nice birthday and got very spoilt.
