New job

Well I know I said was finishing blog but thought would write now and again. So for anyone who doesn't know yet I have got a new job starting in 2 weeks. I applied for 2 jobs a children's one on a haematology ward at Randwick hospital closer to beach. Also a palliative job at same hospital I currently work which is a brand new unit. I had the children's interview on 26th may which went ok felt went better than last time also was asked similar questions. Then had the palliative interview on 2nd June which felt went a lot better only asked 5 questions which knew answers. Anyway found out on Wednesday that got palliative job unfortuantely still not heard about the children's one even though phoned them twice. Is just so annoying as last time heard straight got an email saying unsuccessful but this time nothing so I assume did not get it. Think would off preferred the children's one as that's what I have always wanted to do but I suppose just not meant to be. But I have always had an interest in palliative in last placement at uni requested hospice which didn't get unfortuantely. So looking forward to a new challenge and will be nice to work in a brand new unit is only one other person going from my ward. Even though when it was first mentioned lots said there would apply but obvisiously decided to stay. Have been telling people at work now that I am leaving and a few are shocked as didn't realise I had applied for it. But like I said to them not going to broadcast it until knew had job and been on my ward now for 2 years so ready for a change. Also this year as been very busy but seems to off got better since a new manager started also from England, Sheffield so a fellow Yorkshire person. So since last wrote have been busy parents and their friends came and went home was lovely to see them and planning to come again next year. Was hoping to go home in June or September but unfortuantely couldn't get holiday but then gave me June at last minute and flights too expensive. So I am now planning to go home Easter next year which will be nice as will off been 21 months since last home. Moved out off my place in Rhodes as owner sold place and person who bought wanted to move was going to continue living with Vanessa and Roberto. But then turned out that we wanted different things like expected us to spilt the rent half not 3 which didn't think was fair. So I moved in with Tiago temporary whilst looking for another found somewhere near Strathfield but room I wanted already gone by time did application. So decided to stay with Tiago as things and travelling not to bad takes a hour by public transport but might have to think about getting a car. Tiago's parents left to go back to Brazil but planning to come back once organised a few things at home went for nice meal at waterfront overlooking opera house and bridge before there left. Went on Vivid cruise last Friday with Tiago which was nice got to see the lights from afar which were very beautiful also got buffet food and 3 drinks. Vivid festival is a unique annual event of lights, music, ideas and the spectular illumination of Sydney's ironic sails on the Sydney Opera House.
