Work and legally blonde

Thursday 6th November got up 8.30 and went for swim whilst Debbie went to Rhodes to post parcel. Then when she got back went to gym only did 30mins ran on treadmill for 1.54miles. I then had to go work which was ok was busy but was too bad. On Friday on a early was busy and felt like was by myself at one point as don't know when my other team member went to. Was glad to finish and everyone else left without telling me, but was probably only about 5mins. Went to Rhodes after work and met bianca there as peter left today and got Xmas decorations from Ikea but still need to find a Xmas tree. At night we all had take-away and watched RUM diary is about an American journalist Paul Kemp takes on a freelance job in Puerto Rico for a local newspaper during the 1960s and struggles to find a balance between island culture and the expatriates who live there. Was good Johnny Depp was terrific, it was engaging and entertaining, at times deadly serious in its own way, with lots to say a satisfying and often funny telling of a great true story.
We were all at work Saturday morning which made a pleasant change and was busy we didn't finish doing washes til 11ish. Thought was going to get complaint as one off relatives not happy with how staff did something, but was fine in end. At night went to see legally blonde the musical at lyric theatre which is part of star casino with Debbie. When went to sit down our seats were near the back and we got upgraded to front seats in middle alot better seats than orginally. I could not take my eyes off the stage, I absolutely loved it would definitely see again and think preferred than the film. I had my picture taken in the legally blonde cut out and think I don't really suit blonde definitely dark hair. The legally blonde cocktail Cosmo slushy available which came in a free light glass, were amazing. The whole night was perfect as after legally blonde went to Hard Rock Cafe for more cocktails had mojito this time and got another glass. We ate there which was far too much and probably didn't help as we were eating quite late and food only ok which had been told but thought best to try our self.

Coogee beach with Haidee

Wednesday 5th November day of and meeting Haidee but not to late on as she was on nights last night. But still up at 8ish again so went to pool for abit this morning as looked a nice day and had a swim. Then left to meet Haidee at 1ish as meeting her at her place in Newtown at 2ish and was abit earlier but luckily she was awake, just had to wait for her to get sorted. Then time to head to beach but first had to go pick up car from Glebe and to get there had to go on Haidee's scooter. Think first time been on scooter and felt safe had my helmet and gloves on, but maybe not best idea wearing dress. Picked up her boyfriends car from Glebe then where to go decided on Coogee beach as never been before. Coogee is a beachside suburb in Randwick, where Nat lives and is popular for swimmers was a nice beach not as busy as Bondi. First stop was food went to cafe on side of beach had pancakes which couldn't manage all off and milkshake which was very thick. It was then to the beach was not on the beach that long as was starting to get windy so left and went to look round. Looked in Coogee Bay hotel which is right opposite the beach is more than a hotel has seven bars and Sydney's biggest beer garden. We then looked in the beach palace hotel which near the beach and has about 3 floors but didn't look as nice as Coogee Bay hotel even though it has just been one up. It was then to go see some of the other beaches between Coogee and Bondi 1st was Clovelly beach which is a small beach which sits on a narrow bay looked very cute, is popular for swimmers. Then on to Bronte beach sits on Nelson bay has a enormous park behind beach perfect for BBQ's and is more suited for families. It was then time to head back to Haidee's for beer on the balcony and chat, I didn't get in til 8ish but was a nice saw some new places.

Short shifts, chocolate and pool

Saturday 1st December and up about 10 went to Rhodes for grocery shopping, Bianca and Debbie on health kick this week so not going to eat bread, pasta etc. When back went for a swim and was very hot was a shame I had to go to work but was nice to go to work at 15.30 for a change. When got to work thought it was abit unfair as their was only me on my side all the others were bank staff. Especially since there was 3 of our own staff on the other side but the in charge did help me abit and shift turned out not to be too bad.
Sunday was up early as speaking to mum and dad at Rhodes luckily the connection was for a change. I then met Debbie for breakfast our usual French toast as Debbie wanted it before she started her healthy eating on Monday. We then went to the gym was there for an hour was a good workout ran on the treadmill for 2.03 miles. It was then time to go to work but didn't want to go thinks its because I was on a late short again so didn't start til 15.30. Was Greg's last shift which was a shame as nice to work with, shift was ok and got a lift home as when said was walking she insisted on giving me a lift.
On Monday I didn't want to get up for work would of been quite happy to say in bed even though had an alright sleep. It was a very busy Monday felt like a proper Monday morning as never really stopped which it was you expect from a Monday. I also got a present from Michelle a big bag of Hersey white cookie small bars as had said how I liked them the other day and she had been to Costco where alot cheaper.
Tuesday was off work and nothing partial planned but didn't sleep well last night so at least could have a last one. Went to gym with Debbie early on only there about 30mins and ran on the treadmill did 2.01 miles and then went to pool for an hour. Was at pool only an hour as meeting Hisako at Oliver brown at Rhodes as never been before and told do good hot chocolate. Oliver brown is a Belgian chocolate cafe and had a OB cookie & cream which was a type of milkshake was good will go again but was too hot for hot chocolate. Them back to the pool when back for a few hours as still sunny and even went for a swim. Our modem arrived from Do Do for our internet so i assume internet young ahead, tried to see if internet once set modem up but still didn't work phoned should be up and running on Monday. When back watched Mummy 3 on DVD with Peter as never seen and wanted to find out how it all ends is definitely not as good as the last 2.

Bondi beach and Nicki Minaj

So didn't have a good night sleep last night on Thursday, but still somehow got up at 8 on Friday 30th November and the sun was shining so decided would go to Bondi beach. Dwayne texted me in morning to ask what I was up said off to Bondi so said might meet up as he was off their aswell. First stop was David Jones at Bondi junction to hopefully get my French connection pink dress which reserved the other day but only til Thursday. Luckily when I went to David Jones there still had my dress reserved, so I just had to buy it then can hopefully wear tonight. Think got to beach about 11ish luckily I had put my one day sun cream on so wouldn't have to re-apply whilst on the beach. It was very hot but at least it was windy at the same time, which was a good thing as didn't want to go in the water and leave my things on the sand on their own. Even though I did see other people doing but just didn't want to risk as trust my look my things would go missing. I had also gone to Bondi today to see the red algae in the sea but unfortunately it had gone by now it had surfaced on Tuesday which had caused the shut down of Bondi beach. Met Kat for catch up and fruit juice at about 15hrs after been on beach about 4hrs and think may off caught the sun today. Never met Dwayne as he was just arriving when I was leaving and did not have time to wait as off out tonight.
Once home was quick turn round had shower then time to go out again decided to wear my new pink dress as meeting Sarah and Bianca at Sydney entertainment centre at darling harbour. Debbie and Peter saying in we're invited to Jen's birthday party but decided against it as tired, me and Bianca couldn't go as seeing Nicki Minaj. I arrived abit before the other but was quite nice to people watch as their was a few people dressed up some good and some not so. When going into the centre there took out tickets off so which we were gutted as wanted to keep as souvenir but said can get when leaving. First stop was drinks and thought best to get two then wouldn't have to queue as long, not that queue was that bad. We had standing room tickets started off at back but then ended up halfway down, supporting act was Tyga who was good but not as good as Nicki Minaj. Nicki Minaj is one of the biggest acts in the world now an American rapper and she was a very an excellent performer danced lots and would definitely see her again. She performed for about a hour and half which was good and got to get tickets when leaving. We went to McDonalds after to get something since not really had tea and was ready for something to eat. Then me and Bianca went to catch bus whilst waiting their was light effect on the town hall very pretty. we realised once been on the bus about 10-15mins that we were on wrong but no way to get off so had to stay on bus. So it took us twice as long to get home and when got off was raining heavily so by the time got back home was like drown rats, oh dear..

Sunbath, work, meal and Dwayne

Sunday 25th November and speak home at Rhodes early on and the connection wasn't the best think lost connection a few times. Then when ack went to gym with Debbie and only did about 20mins the treadmill and the rower again. It was then off to the pool as was 30degrees so sunbathed for a little bit and did a few lengths. Then unfortunately it was time to go to work but was good as only started at 15.30hrs and the shift was nice. When got phone Dwayne had sent me a message on Facebook asking if he could stay tonight as lost phone last night and needed a friend. Tried to tell him that he couldn't stay tonight as I was at work in morning at 7hrs but somehow he managed to persuaded me as said wouldn't be long. But Dwayne's long time and mine appear to be completely different as still didn't arrive til midnight. He now has a new puppy with him Brosiff but didn't think good idea to come in house in case made a mess so made him leave him in the car, but if I had thought could of stayed in garage. Think got to sleep about 1 as was tired and knew had to be up in the morning luckily dog very good and didn't bark.
When going to work on Monday tried to get Dwayne up when I left but it wasn't happening so had to leave him, think he left about 8.30. Luckily work was nice as had lots of staff which was good and didn't feel too tired as I expected. After work meeting Nat but first went to David Jones in city so see if got French connection dress I liked but no luck so reserved at Bondi junction. Met Nat, Sarah (Nats friend from hostel) and Sarah's brother at cargo for food I had steak and mash but could of done with more mash and wine. We then went for more drinks at Tokio hotel afterwards I felt abit lightheaded as must of had about 4 glasses of wine. So I had to call at Woolworth's on way home as had severe munchies so got chocolate popcorn and pretzels, got home about 10. Asked Dwayne if needed to stay but staying at friends and was stressed so probably for the best but would of been nice to have cuddles.
Tuesday went to Rhodes this morning to pick up parcel think it was xmas pressie but cant actually remember and had breakfast with Debbie whilst there officially French toast again. Went for a run before work only a short one just round the round block twice managed only 1.06miles. I then had to go to work as on a late which was ok but for some reason I was team leader not sure why as was others more senior than me. On Wednesday at work had a nice morning then afternoon got busy lots happening poring patient. At night off out for meal with Ann, Michelle and Julie from work, Michelle very kindly picked me up and met Ann at Top Ryde who arrived after us as got bus from city and Julie not coming as not feeling well. Went to Kazbah a Moroccan restaurant which as soon as you walk in captures the essence of the Middle-East with its striking décor and with the traditional Middle-Eastern style full length open kitchen you feel right in the middle of the action. We shared 2 shish kebabs chicken and lamb which was very nice and plenty for the 3 which left room for pudding. So we shared 2 puddings a Kazbah bomb Turkish delight ice-cream, blueberries flamed with kurrant vodka, not normally a fan off Turkish delight but was nice in pudding not to sweet. The other pudding was a Kazbah mess which was ice-cream, berries , meringue and something else (see picture). It was a nice evening and a glass of wine aswell and which Ann kindly bought then time to head back and dropped me off at my door.
Then on Thursday on another early shift and work was ok. Met Debbie after work at Rhodes to do some grocery shopping and then when back laid round pool for abit and did some swimming only 10 lengths. At night sat watching TV and was so tired kept falling asleep from 20.30 eventually went to bed at 22.30. But then didn't sleep well woke up at about 4 and had to go downstairs for a drink of water.

Santa fest and cocktails

Day off again Saturday 24th November and off to the Santa Fest later on at Darling Harbour but doesn't start til 6.30 so what to do before. So went out for breakfast at coffee club at Rhodes with Debbie, Bianca and Peter came to join us had our usual French toast instead of latte had milkshake was nice for a change. Went to gym later on with Debbie think only managed about 30 minutes as only ran on treadmill and went on rower. We went to the city abit early then the start of Santa Fest as wanted to go to Opera house first ton price up Swan Lake but unfortunately it was sold out. But picked a brochure and looks to be some good arts coming to the Opera house Blaze dance act and La Soirée a cocktail of cabaret, burlesque and circus shows. It was then time to walk to darling harbour as wanting a good space to see everything what happening and petter meeting us there.
Santa Fest water spectacular supposed to start at 18.30 which when looked at the programme was only the colouring in competition.so felt like we were waiting around for abit, at 19.30 the main Santa Fest entertainment begins Santa arrives on jet skis which is just so weird. Then it was abit more waiting before smile for the Darling harbour Santa crowd photo, where we all had to smile for the camera. The Santa fest carol singers came next who were all dressed in Santa outfits which was good songs which you could sing along to. It was then time for the main event of the water spectacular which a parade of boats and yachts some with Santa's, more Santa water skiers. Their was Christmas floats and pyrotechnics, Santa sky skier which was very good who did the top secret lighting of the Darling Harbour Christmas tree. Which was were Santa sky skier lit the tree with a type of gun and ending the show with the Christmas firework finale. It was very good and at the end definitely felt in the Christmas spirit even if it was strange to see Santa on water skis and sky skier.
We then walked to harbourside and on way there found a sparkling star on the floor so i just had to have as was for sale at santa fest, but i got for free. Afterwards went to san churro's for a sharing chocolate tapas with churro's, ice-cream, brownies, chocolate pretzels, chocolate sauce and strawberries which me and Debbie shared. Peter was going to come and join us then realise the time and had to go meet Bianca from work. It was then time to go sample the cocktails at hard rock cafe as Debbie been saying how good their are so we both got a Hurricane cocktails where we got a free glass. The hurricane was orange, mango and pineapple juice, havana club blanco rum, captain morgan's black rum, amaretto and Grenadine which was very nice. Nat then came to meet us after her meal so we had to try another cocktail but no free glass this time. This time I tried the caipirinha which is cachaca mixed with fresh lime and sugar topped with topped but still think preferred the one at hurricane. It wasn't a late night think got the last train home which is so much better than the bus.

Bondi Junction shopping (gift to self)

Friday 23rd November and time to go shopping today as Black Friday which is the Friday following Thanksgiving day in the USA. Many stores have special offers and lowers their price on some goods like Apple so off to buy my Apple laptop still undecided which one. So me and Debbie got train into city and then bus to Bondi Junction to start our shopping spree. First stop was Apple store where as soon walked in got a sale price listing and we had a look to decide what we wanted. As I was still undecided between MacBook Air or MacBook Pro think decided on MacBook Pro as wanted 13inch which was same price as the MacBook Air 13inch and had disc drive. Debbie got an iPod shuffle in red and think also getting iPad with retina display but going to go do some more shopping then come back later. So went to Bondi junction to look round the shops first as wanted to get a few other things first as Debbie wanted some trainers so can start running training with me Which she managed to find sone black adidas ones and also had to get her mums Xmas present perfume, which we would later find out couldn't send through post so she had to buy something else.
I tried a nice dress on in French connection at David jones was in punk and preferred the yellow but Unfortunatly there didn't have. So went to the French connection shop and didn't have either dress but tried a white tunic one was and was a size 6, don't think ever been a size 6. But I honestly don't think I am that size was just the style of dress as other dress was a size 8. Then time to buy make-up got mac foundation as decided about time had some and Debbie got lots from benefit. It was then back to Apple to spend more money I eventually decided on the MacBook Pro the smallest one as thought best to get one with disc drive in case I need it. I also got a case for it and went for blue one since my iPad one is already purple and was about $100 cheaper since Black Friday and $100 cheaper than UK. I wish I had now had some teaching on it but not going to use til got Internet probably as not worth it. Debbie bought the iPad with retina display and a red case. It was then back into city and was going to meet Bianca and Peter but her bag broke so went home. I just wanted to pop to Roxy to see if offer still own for beach towel at $10 if buy two items so got a star bikini 2 pieces and got my pink beach towel. I dread to think how much I spent but was still cheaper than UK and will be worth it in long run. We had a lazy night all four of watched Dark Knight with wine which not sure if seen before but was good Christopher Bale was magnificent as Batman. But I think the movie belongs to the villain joker played by Heath Ledger, which was even better than the joker played by Jack Nicholson.

Nights again, gym and James Bond

Monday 19th November and I start my nights again this week but at least only got three this time. So went for breakfast with Debbie this morning at coffee club for our usual French toast and then when got back watched DVD. When Debbie went to work watched Greek then when went for swim with Petter as sun kept trying to come out. Then I went to gym with Jen only did about 30 minutes but did wrong way round should of done gym first then swim never mind next time. Then I had to go to work which was ok as only open to 24 patients and I had 7 when first start I had 2 blood products. At end of shift was MET call not my patient but was late leaving as helped nurse do some meds as others in the MET call, NUM thanked me for helping.
Went to gym when got home with Debbie which was probably a good idea as made me sleep well. As I got to sleep 10ish then got up about 3 and just chilled for rest off day ready for my next night and Tuesday night was ok. On Wednesday got up 12.30 so probably had about 3 and half hours sleep, went to Rhodes when up to get Christmas cards. Then when got back went for a swim and relaxed round pool for abit. Also found out today that TPG can't give us internet due to no vacant Telstra infrastructure so will have to start looking again will try DO DO next. Phoned DO DO and looks promising for internet are phoning us back tomorrow. On Wednesday night only had 6 patients and after break thought had lost my phone even tried ringing but didn't hear it, eventually found it hidden under blanket.
Thursday 22nd november after night didn't sleep the best woke up 11.30 then luckily fell back to sleep til about 1. It wasn't a nice day was cloudy so watched TV then I went for a run only did 1.04 miles since not been for a while. Then DO DO phoned and think might off sorted Internet again. At night off to see James Bonds new film 'Skyfall' at the IMAX theatre in Darling harbour, which is the World's Biggest Screen. You get to experience the highest quality giant screen images, with state of the art digital which allows audiences to see more of the image. First stop with Debbie was to British sweet shop to get supplies as been craving for monster munch and Irn bru which didn't sell in shop since now have at Coles, so had sparkling vimto instead. When walking over the bridge to harbourside saw koala and crab on wildlife and sealife centre in Santa outfits, so cute!! Also went to USA outlet and bought some skinny jeans and a beige lace vest top before the film. When got to IMAX met Bianca and Peter and was carol singers with giant Santa's so listened to them first before going to see film. Really enjoyed maybe not the best Bond movie ever but a very good one, a little darker than usual. Think Craig's most impressive debut was as Bond in 2006's Casino Royale, but still need to see Quantum of Solace. After meal went to plate for food as got free bottle of wine with meal with our IMAX tickets was tempted with crocodile, kangaroo or emu. But instead went for Fishermans Basket which was Grilled prawns, scallops, mussels, tempura barramundi, scampi and crab served with chips and thousand island dressing. Only me and Debbie went for meal as Bianca and Peter ate early so just wanted dessert, the Fishermans basket was ok but not keen on the crab (see picture), Debbie found it abit disturbing. Then after went to San churro but unfortunately just shutting so couldn't have but had picture taken with snowman outside there and then me in the water feature outside harbourside luckily only got feet wet..

Bondi with Irish

Sunday 18th November so woke up about 11ish this morning not good when only got in at 7 but did feel fine. Think Bianca and Peter surprised to seeShane and he was still as entertaining this morning. My plan today was to go out with Debbie but Shane invited me to go to Bondi with him and thought why not and Debbie said was fine with it. It looked quite cloudless when leaving so decided to wear jeans but by the train got to Bondi was sunny. First stop to Lamrock lodge where there were staying for him to change and for Pauly to cone join us for breakfast aswell. Went to Lamrock cafe which had avoid view over Bondi beach and is a good place for people watching. It was cheap and cheerful we had breakfast toastie which was ham and cheese not quite sure what is breakfast about it. Then it was time to go lay on the grass at top of Bondi beach whilst Pauly went for a dip in the water. So just means Shane and at some points we were just laid there as not really sure what to say to each other, think he even fell asleep for abit. It was then time to head to Bondi junction with Shane, Pauly and Dave there other friend who had been looking for his IPhone this morning as lost last night but never found. Went to the Tea Gardens hotel which was originally known for sports fan but is now a venue for good times. Considering it was only about 4ish was quite busy their all had alcohol as getting ready for Coldplay later, but I couldn't face it but ended up having Dave's corona as couldn't drink it. Shane's sister came to join us for a drink as she lives in Sydney I did meet her briefly last night aswell. I left about 6ish and Shane walked me to train station we swapped numbers but definitely don't see anything romantically happening as wasn't really a spark didn't even kiss him but he did make me laugh. I met Debbie at Rhodes when I got back to see if could get anything for tea but everything shutting but got DVD to watch the best exotic marigold hotel. Which is about British retirees who travel to India to take up residence in what they believe is a newly restored hotel. Less luxurious than its advertisements, the Marigold Hotel nevertheless slowly begins to charm in unexpected ways. Was very good really enjoyed and we got take-away pizza to eat not a bad weekend off.

Manly and night out Orient hotel

Saturday 17th November and aim to go to Manly today to collect things from Manly Market. Unfortunately it looked it abit cloudy this morning but me and Debbie still went. But Bianca and Peter decided to do there own thing since weather did not look promising. When we got to Manly the sun decided to come which was good and quicksilver had a 50% sale on so off course I had to look. There was lots of bikinis I liked but unfortunately not in my size, but its not like I really need anymore. So instead I bought a Roxy summer dress and a bandeau top. It was then on to the market to get what I actually came for I got myself a star bracelet and got Sharon a present aswell which will keep for her birthday. Had a look round market and Debbie found a nice picture she liked of Sydney but didn't have any left. We tried chilli popcorn which sounds revolting but was actually quite nice. It was then time to have some fish and chips which we ate on the wall by the beach but we both couldn't finish, as too much. Debbie said is not always a fan off fish and chips but enjoyed these ones so we both couldn't fit Ben and Jerry's ice-cream in. We then looked in a few more shops as Roxy had buy 2 things and get beach towel for $10 but couldn't find anything wanted. But really fancied he pink beach towel, Debbie got a top and a cap and then got the black beach towel. I then went to billabong and bought the havaiana sandals which been looking at past few weeks in beige with pink havaiana writing and was then time to head back. We met Bianca and Peter on the train but there got off at Burwood whilst me and Debbie headed home.
By the time we got back was time to get ready for tonight as off out into city for a few drinks, decided to wear my new star dress. Our aim was to get in about 9ish go to Opera bar first then on to Orient bar but it didn't happen like. As best laid plans never seem to happen that way as the train seemed to take forever to get into the city. It was a very random train journey as someone got taken off train due to have a wee on train as no toilets. So by the time we got to the city was past 10 so decided to go straight to a Orient bar and only cost $5 to get in, bargain. The Orient bar has 3 floors downstairs bar, cocktail bar and nightclub, we went first to cocktail bar but very quiet. So ended up downstairs where there was a live band playing which were quite good and was music that you could dance. Supposedly the Orient Hotel is the place to go if looking for a bit of fun, this is not the place to go if you are looking for style, elegance and sophistication. It's the place you go to if you are looking to have something to talk about. As anything seems to go in Orient we got chatting to some Irish blokes who were very entertaining and were pretending to skip, we're down from Perth as off to see Coldplay tomorrow. When Orient was getting close to shutting the irish still wanted to continue partying to said to go to PBH but tried to get taxi but wouldn't take us so started walking but not sure right direction, eventually got taxi. The PBH (Pyrmont Bridge Hotel) is open 24hrs and is in the darling harbour precinct when we got wouldn't let Shane and Pauly in as said too drunk. So went to get some water and then there let us in once in I was mainly with Shane who seemed nice. Also once we got there we didn't seem to buy our selfs anymore drink Debbie ended up dancing with some girls and boys who had been to Coldplay. We didn't leave PBH til 6ish and then we had to go get McDonalds was strange to be off home when sun coming up could even have breakfast at McDonalds. Which Shane bought us as by this time we had lost Pauly see picture of me and Shane at McDonalds. We could even get the train and Shane started coming with us even though he hadn't been invited, so take it having a visitor. So Shane came back us and was a complete gentlemen but probably got the idea when came out in pyjamas and was both tired as got in 7ish. So Orient bar was definitely a night to remember and was definitely something to talk about in the morning.

Balmain with Jen and drinks

Friday 16th November and day off which was good after doing a 6day straight after I got back from England. Spoke to mum and dad early this morning on Skype at Rhodes. Got my fitted navy sheet what mum sent me then I had to make my bed with my new star cover. Before I met Jen not sure what to do as our original plan was to go to the beach but was raining, so not a good idea. Instead we decided to go to Balmain as we both we haven't been before and heard that it is supposed to be nice for cafes and shops. Balmain is a suburb in the inner west of Sydney the main through road is a darling street where there is lots of shops to browse and places to eat. Was walking up the street and felt someone looking at me and was Toby from work, how strange as was only on about Balmain over day and forgot he lived near here. Asked him where best to go recommended a cafe but was too busy so another little cafe where we shared two different sandwiches and had hot chocolate. We then drive to the bottom of darling street where the wharf and can get ferry from Circular Quay to Balmain could see the bridge.
It was then time to head back home stopped at Rhodes on way back for coffee at ikea and met Bianca and Peter. As Peter only arrived this morning from England bianca's boyfriend and she went to meet him at airport, he seemed nice. Jen then went back to hers to get change and Debbie met us at Rhodes after work as Bianca needed to do food shop. The plan to tonight was to go to sky tower for drinks and the rocks bizarre festival but Jen and Debbie both decided to stay in and get take-away. So went with Bianca and Peter to the sky tower Bianca wasn't sure what a 360 revolving bar was but she liked. I had a exotic cosmopolitan pink grapefruit vodka, Cointreau, Chambord shaken with cranberry, pineapple and lime was very nice we also had chips to share. Afterwards we walked down to the opera house so Bianca could show Peter and we went to see the rocks bizarre but was just shutting. Was a nice night wasn't sure if would feel a gooseberry but was fine.

More work, catch up's and cinema

Monday 12th to Thursday 15th November. On Monday on a early and shift very busy probably didn't help as only 2 nurses each side and didn't get out on time. After work went to Rhodes to get groceries and met Ann who used to work on my ward for coffee. As she was in Sydney for the week nice to catch up and find out what she been up not started new job yet starts beginning of dec. Then went to Ikea after to get air dryer as been on about getting one for uses, so eventually got it. When got in went for a swim and didn't seem as cold as usual unless I am just starting to get more used to it. I then had tea think first time really used oven had roasted peppers with chicken and then fell asleep on sofa watching Xfactor.
Busy shift Tuesday as only 2 nurses again so got off late again. Jen called round after her course for a catch up then I went for a swim. At night meeting Nat and her friend Gem over from UK for tea at Hurricane's at Darling Harbour. Was nice when got to Darling Harbour as is starting to look more like Christmas as had Santa's on tops of some building. Hurricane's is a grill restaurant speciality steak and ribs Me and Gem both had junior T-bone's which were very nice. I had a cocktail passionfruit caiprioska which is Smirnoff vodka, lime, sugar is the Russian love child of caiprinha reminded me of Brazil. Nat had half rack of ribs and made us a laugh as got a bib with which was a good as there were very messy. Afterwards nothing fancied for pudding so we went to Guylian where Me and Nat shared chocolate tart and praline milkshake, then time to head home as early tomorrow.
So early again Wednesday and was swapped to A side which was glad about as it isn't as heavy and patients don't appear to be as buzzer happy. I actually got out on time which makes a nice pleasant change for this week. So after work went to Rhodes to get Sarah Twilight ticket for tomorrow and do some food shopping. Then met Jen at mine and went to the gym only did about 30minutes but felt better for it. Phoned up about Internet TPG and might off eventually got it sorted, fingers crossed just waiting for confirmation.
On Thursday on another early shift which was ok then after work Me and Debbie went to Rhodes to look at modems. Back to work and Mind, Body, Spirit festival

Saturday 10th November and first day back at work but at least am on a late. Had a nice lie in this morning got up at 11am which was good as felt so much better and ready for work maybe!! At work was nice and chilled probably as a Saturday afternoon and was lots of staff, When finished Bianca got us a lift home which at least saved us walking home and good since on early in morning. Only thing was I couldn't get to sleep tried last time I looked at clock was about 3 and not not good when have to be up 5.30ish. I tried everything even got the point where I tried counting sheep, must of been desperate only thing didn't was have hot milk. At least Sunday nice shift but abit busier than yesterday and at least didn't feel too tired but was drinking coffee instead of tea to keep me going.
When finished work quick home change and off out as off the Mind, Body and Spirit festival at Darling Harbour exhibition centre. The exhibition had over 200 exhibitors off natural therapies, massage, organic health, unique gifts, music and much more. You got to walk round the stalls to see, try the different foods and make-up(organic) and buy products if wanted. I didn't buy anything was tempted to have fortune told but only two left and didn't sound that good so let Debbie go instead. It lasted 30mins and not sure if she was that impressed with her will definitely have to find one, as really fancy having done now. Then tea at 'Cyren' at Harbourside (see picture) shared garlic bread honey, garlic and chilli was very nice, then pizza and not enough room for pudding. Got a picture of me with the water feature in background but hard to see since dark but get the dea. When got back we had cockroach in bath so we got rid of together but took a few attempts as kept rolling over but we managed in end..

Back in Sydney

Friday 9th November arrive back to Sydney and it seemed to take forever to get through customs or so it felt but it probably only took about 3O minutes. At least it didn't take long to get luggage as soon as got to carousel the luggage was their for me. Their we're filming the border security TV show but don't think there got me and I didn't have to open my back just straight through, which was good. Since I hadn't heard from Dwayne about him picking me up decided best to get the train back to Concord and I just made train to Central in time. When got to Central had to wait 15minutes for the next train to Concord. If I had thought I should of gone to Rhodes at it has a lift, whilst at Concord station it only has stairs so I had to lift suitcase up stairs, which I didn't like. I met Debbie at Concord station and we went for breakfast at the cafe and I had a bacon sandwich. Once back home Debbie went to bed as had only just finished nights that morning, I was going to have lie down but decided against it. Instead I unpacked then I watched the 'The Notebook' which is a proper weepy film but think fell asleep near the end.
Went to Rhodes later to meet Bianca after work and to get more coat hangers for all my new clothes. Bianca cooked tea spaghetti bolognese Jen, her flatmate Lisa and Ji sun came aswell. Then their all went on a cruise with bianca's work I was invited but decided to have quiet one as thought might be too tired for it. Also Dwayne said he might come round but he didn't end up coming as just a change he had to much too drink. I wasn't really that bothered as was quiet happy to have a lazy night in on my own ended up watching 'In her Shoes' on TV but kept nodding off so went to bed at midnight.

Fly back to Australia

Last day wednesday 7th November and time to fly back to Australia time has gone so quickly but so nice to see everyone again. Just a shame I couldn't have had just abit longer but at least I did everything what I wanted and saw most people I wanted. For some reason thought dad was at work today as that what mum had said so was surprised to see him coming downstairs in morning. Sharon and Ellie came round in morning to say bye which was nice and got lots of cuddles with Ellie. At least this time when we said bye we were ok no tears.. We left for Manchester airport about 12.30ish as my 1st flight at 17.10 and supposed to be there 3hrs before when international. We got to Manchester in good time and luckily my case only weighed 22kg so was in baggage allowance. After checked baggage in had a drink with mum and dad in coffee shop before there had to head back home as didn't want to hit traffic so think left 3ish. Was ok when said bye to them probably as their we're happy to see that I am doing ok. Once through customs had a look in duty free but couldn't really see what I wanted so will wait til get to Heathrow as got about 3hrs. Rachel phoned to wish me well then was time to get on my flight which was only a short one sat next to a elderly couple who were very pleasant. Asked were I was from and said and then the girl behind us said she was also from there how bizarre.
Once at Heathrow arranged to meet the girl sherry for a drink but not before doing my duty free shopping. As so much I wanted to buy got flowerbomb perfume, Clairns ski care, YSL mascara and touch éclat and Lancôme make-up set since I spent over £150 got free teddy. I then met sherry for a drink and had a glass of sparkling wine she is off to Thailand first and then coming to Sydney. So said we will have to meet up when she gets to Sydney swapped email addresses to stay in contract. It was then time to catch my flight to Hong Kong didn't really sleep much on plane and food not the best luckily had bought sandwiches at boots. I watched a few films first was 'Ted' which was funny in places, then ' Step Up 4 - Miami Heat' which I kept nodding off through but the dancing was very good. It was then the 'The Watch' which wasn't the best was a mixture between ghostbusters and men in black and then I watched 'People Like Us' a drama/comedy about family, inspired by true events, starring Chris Pine as Sam, a twenty-something, fast-talking salesman, whose latest deal collapses on the day he learns that his father has suddenly died. Against his wishes, Sam is called home, where he must put his father's estate in order and reconnect with his estranged family. In the course of fulfilling his father's last wishes, Sam uncovers a startling secret that turns his entire world upside down was very good. I was then only had about hour or so to landing so not time to watch a film so watched 'British bake off' where there made cupcakes which looked very nice.
Once at Hong Kong only had about a hour til next flight so played on Internet for abit since its free but nobody on Skype this time. At least this one the shorter flight only 8hrs so only watched 3films 'Magic Mike' which was very cheesy the best part was Channing Tatum and the ending was rubbish. I then watched 'Total Recall' as wanted to see what the remake was like but the remake nothing like the original, some scenes in the 1990 film took place on Mars and had some humour not this one. I then had something to eat penne pasta with 3cheeses which was actually able to eat this time. It was then time to watch 'The Lucky Ones' a romance about a marine who finds a photo (lucky charm) then sets out to find her was. The Lucky One delivers a predictable romance never straying from the boy-meets-girl basics, was good but not as good as notebook. The plane was then getting near to landing and actually landed a few minutes early.

Lazy day with family

Last proper day with family Tuesday 6th November. Mum had course til 11am in Boroughbridge so got chance to have lie in. Not that I had one was still awake early and haven't slept right since been back. I think the only night I actually slept through was wedding night. All the rest I appear to off woken up about 4ish then got up at 7-8ish. Mum's course finished early but once home I wanted to go to boroughbridge to see if had skinny jeans. Unfortunately had skinny jeans but were abit expensive at £90 so left it will look when back in Australia. It was then time to head to Sharon's.
By time got to Sharon's was about 1ish was going to walk into knaresborough but not best weather. So we went to fodder instead near sainsburys in Harrogate. As don't think really ever eaten there so I had fodder farmers lunch. Which was pork pie, roast ham and beef, trio of cheese, chutney, bread and salad. Was very nice but didn't eat the pork pie so Mum and Sharon shared it. Then we all shared fruit scone and millionaires shortbread. By end Ellie getting grizzly so fell asleep on Mum after she rocked her. When came out was raining just for a change for English weather but saying has been quite nice whilst I have been home, it was then back to Sharon's. Not before stopping at Knaresborough briefly to pick up a few last minute things, but lost Sharon as went for drive round with Ellie as crying so had to wait few minutes for her to come back.
At night mum did my last meal toad in the hole as all I wanted was Yorkshire pudding, since not had them in Australia. Then time to do my packing which I never enjoy doing mum helped me just hope it weighs ok we did weigh and was about 20kg which is fine as allowed 23kg. Just had a lazy night as still got annoying cough and nice to spend time with mum and dad as not seen much off dad really. I did write my letter to request for an extension off my career break so will see what the outcome is to that.

Meadowhall and Chinese with workmates

Monday 5th November and meeting uni friends today at meadowhall. Had invited Mum, Sharon and Ellie to come along aswell. But Sharon wasnt sure if Ellie would get bored so mum kindly offered to babysit. So me and Sharon went to meadowhall left about 9.30 as meeting them at 11. First stop was Next as had seen a blazer I wanted but couldn't will look later. I then went to meet uni friends Inga, Ellie and Rebecca unfortunately Crystal couldn't make as Freya ill. Met then at Starbucks Sharon went to do some shopping on her own as didn't know them. It was nice to catch up and find out what everyone been up to. I then went to TKMaxx to take some things back as only keeping one dress obvisously the most expensive one. But there forgot to take the discount off when refunded me, what a shame just meant my one cheaper..
It was then time to find Sharon met her in boots and also met Ruth (uni friend). We all went for lunch to zizzi as at least Sharon knew Ruth. Ruth had a pizza and found some broken plate on 2nd to last slice. Their we're very good gave her pizza free and a free dessert which we all shared. It was nice to see Ruth and find out what been up to. It was then time to go not before stopping at next on way out where got Ellie another present star cardigan. I think there might be a them here just hope Ellie likes stars. Asked about the blazer I had seen in catalogue and luckily had so bought it (see picture). When got back to Sharon's was quick turn around as off out tonight with work.
So when home quick change then off out again decided to wear star dress. Also decided to drive even though mum offered to take. As thought best to drive since still got that annoying cough, just does not want to go. Off to royal baths Chinese for food was good as was a good turn out over 10 for us. Was nice to see everyone again and catch up was like not been away. Quite a few not happy with when the wards changed so have moved on. Also everyone thought I looked so well and my cheekbones more defined. The food was good aswell had chicken yellow bean sauce. Afterwards went for drink at weatherspoons obvisously soft for me. It wasn't a late one think left just after 11ish.

Shopping and Christmas dinner

Sunday 4th November and off to watch Ellie go swimming as not seen her have lessons before. As saw her go to the swimming pool but not the same. It was only a small group 4 babies and get to do swim actions to nursery rhymes. Looked like Ellie enjoyed as seemed to have smile on face most of time, definitely good to see. We then popped into Harrogate to do some more shopping as I do like shopping.. First stop TKMaxx where got a few dresses but not a 100% sure will have to retry at home. Then to mothercare where got Ellie another present a denim star dress. Went to boots to get last few toiletries needed for taking back to Australia. Then went to Jack Wills where got a star dress and a skirt now a size 8. It was then to joules and got Ellie another present a T-shirt with a horse on. It was then time to head back to Sharon's as Ellie ready to go home. Not before stopping at Hayley's dad first in Harrogate to drop off my godson's presents. When leaving his the phone rang and was Hayley so got to speak to her. Also spoke to Samuel who asked when I was next coming over, said 'didn't know' so he said 'oh'.
Was only at Sharon's a short time then time to head to Mum and Dad's for Christmas dinner. As Mum decided since won't be having a proper Christmas dinner in Australia would do one whilst home. It was also the first time I got to see Nanna was good to see her. For Christmas dinner had turkey, obviously and pigs in blankets the best bit. Didn't want Christmas pudding so Mum did apple crumble and custard on my request. It was a nice night even had crackers on the table aswell but it was our christmas. Ellie wore her Santa outfit and looked gorgeous was definitely a good choice. Nanna liked her present bought back for her an Australian mug. By 7pm I was falling asleep and fell asleep on floor (see picture). I didn't even hear Sharon, Ben and Ellie proves how tried I was must of caught up with me.

Designer and meal with running

Woke up at 7am on November 3rd. As John had to leave as got bike race late and has to go home first. We were the first gown for breakfast and proves how early as hot food not even out. But at least would do you fresh so knew it was hot. Whilst at breakfast Rachel texted to say not coming today as not well. Shame as was looking forward to a catch just means more time with family. John left about 8ish and was nice to see him just like it always is. Not sure if persuade him to come to Australia yet. When went back mum and dad were down for breakfast so stayed. When all finished helped to take covers off chairs as bought on. Then time to check out not before me and mum went to look at spa. But we both folkish had forgotten our swimsuits do couldn't use.
Then time to head home and wait for Sharon and Ellie as off to designer. As thought might aswell spend more time with family. One good thing about having Ellie is get good packing spots. I felt like a big kid as wanted to go in all the shops first stop Next. Where I got Ellie a Santa outfit which can wear tomorrow for Christmas dinner. I then wanted to find a new dress for New Years Eve found nice one at Reiss. The shop assistant wearing said online will have to look later and ted baker but too big. Then to crew to buy our presents again from Nanna as she lost the first one, luckily had more. At joules bought a tunic (see picture) was lots more liked but not my size. I didn't buy anything else after that not for want off looking then time to go home. When got home looked on Reiss couldn't get dress.
It was then time to head to Sharon's as off out with running club into Knaresborough tonight. Lou (Sharon's friend) also coming and picked us leaving car in town will collect tomorrow. First to carriages for a drink was 4 from running Julie, Sue, Steve and Adam. Lisa my friend from sixth firm also came to join us for a drink nice to see her for catch up, think Clare last to arrive. Then to Becket's for meal newish place that just opened supposed be good food but pricey. I had mussels and chips which were good, a few others had steak and the 6 girls had wine. I would definitely recommend the place as nice to have something else in Knaresborough apart from Indians. Had a good catch up and their all thought I looked well and lost weight. Think we finished about 11ish and Lou's dad kindly picked us up and even dropped Julie off home.
