Resting day
Today Sunday 24th June not really sure what to do, so decided to have a restful day. When got up saw Johana in kitchen was going to go to Pilates but would not get there in time. So we decided to go to the gym instead, was their nearly 2 hours. We certainly had a good workout and so nice to have a good shower again. Then we went to Rhodes shopping centre to get a few things. Rest of day didn't really do much read book, watch TV etc. Spoke to mum and dad on Skype later on was nice to catch up. Didn't want a late night as up early tomorrow for my corporate study day..

Zumba and Bondi at night
Saturday 23rd June by the time I actually got up was nearly 12. I must off needed it after getting in at 3.30 this morning. Kate had text me to say going to Manly in 15mins, but I had just missed her. So decided would just have a lazy day, then Nat texted me asking if fancied going to Bondi tonight for pizza and drinks. Thought why not as it was my birthday weekend after all. So decides would go to gym instead but saw Lina and Johana in kitchen who said were off to Zumba at 4. That sounded like a good idea so basically just chilled til then.
Once at Zumba was not sure what to expect and have only done it once before. The instructor was very good and said just work to your own ability and not to worry if couldn't do a certain move. I really enjoyed the class and it wasn't as hard as the last one I went too. Only thing is some of the moves may of been a little too fast. At end of class the instructor told us how a lot of the other had been coming for a while. I think that definitely made us feel better and will come again but only does on Saturday afternoon.
When got back was quick change as off to Bondi tonight. Was not sure what to wear so wore skirt tights and my new ugg boots. At train station couldn't get machine to work then luckily Hisako turned up and helped. Think it was just a temperamently button. Hisako was shocked that off to Bondi at this time off night about 6ish.
Once at Bondi junction waited for Nat to arrive so could catch bus and get to place together. We were first to Bondi pizza, we were meeting 4 more who Nat knew from hostel. As was the leaving do off one who was moving to Perth, I think. It was quite strange as outbid 6 of us 4 were from England. The pizza was very nice but not cheap, luckily one of the girls we were with knew someone who was there so got 20% off bill. Made us have a chocolate swirl which was amazing is a swirl filled with chocolate brownie served with ice-cream and chocolate sauce.
After that a few went home but us 4 from England went for a drink. We went to the crossing pub which a nice relaxed bar with good tunes. Also think it was the first time I had actually seen talent. Can not wait til summer in Bondi when there will be even more. As tonight was supposedly quite for Bondi as most people go to kings cross or city for drinks in winter. Then it was time to heard back got back to Rhodes station about 1ish. Luckily saw some others from my accommodation so walked back with them. So probably got to bed about 1.30. Think Bondi is becoming one of my favourite places so far very relaxed.

More birthday Sky Tower
So during in the day I did actually go to the gym, which seems wrong I know on my birthday. But I actually enjoyed as seems like I haven't actually done any exercise for ages apart from walking. I didn't make it to the Olympic park, will just have to do it another day.
Then at night me, Leigh and Kate off to the Sky Tower for cocktails. Before we left went to floor 5 to see if anyone else fancied coming out. Emily was heading into town to meet friends and said she would try to persuade them to come out. When got to Westfield building couldn't get in the normal way but then found a side entrance to take you to Sky Tower.
Once got to Sky Tower checked us over so it felt as can't wear trainers or girls jeans. We were fine what a relieve as would off been a shame if couldn't on my birthday. Then got the lift up and went so fast not sure how many falls but my ears popped. Once up found a table which over looked sydney and ordered some champagne or sparkling wine to toast my birthday. Was nice and only $11 a glass bargain.. Then had some chips to share between the three which were lovely worth the money. Ed who Kate knows from work then came to join us. We then all ordered cocktails, Ed wasn't sure what to order so let Kate order for him then we could all try. I ordered a Kiwi Wii which was kiwi, lime, New Zealand Feijoa Vodka, Peach Schnaps - and Ginger Beer. It was nice but not sure if would rush to have one again. Also champagne better value as cicktails was $18. Whilst up the Sky Tower it is constantly rotating so get a 360 view off Sydney and takes an hour.
After we had spent nearly 2hours up Sky Tower decided it was time to go to Drag show. Met Emily and her friends as unfortunately couldn't get up Sky Tower as arrived to late but coming to Drag show. So walked to stonewall pub on Oxford street for 'Drag show'. Which was certainly entertaining unfortunately could not decide if everyone was gay. So me and Kate didn't stand a chance of finding anyone tonight. Next time will definitely be a straight club. Also was Emily's first time drinking as only just turned 21, think she enjoyed herself. Only thing is couldn't make up mind if Ed was gay or straight as seemed to know a lot about the gay clubs. But then am sure he was trying to make a move on Kate, who was certainly not interested. The rest left before us 3 and think we left about 2ish seemed to take forever to walk to bus stop. By the time I got there my feet were aching but had been a good night. So on a night trains stop and here put on a night bus. We didn't get to bed til 3.30, was definitely not a bad birthday in Sydney.

My birthday 22nd June
Can't really believe that it's my birthday and am in Sydney, Australia. Still doesn't really feel real that am actually here probably wont til I actually start work official on 2nd July. Regarding birthday I think the older you get the more not bothered you are about them. So what to do on my 1st birthday in Sydney just no idea was supposed to meet Nat but is now moving. Off out tonight with Leigh and Kate to sky tower for cocktails then drag show, should be good.
No idea what really to do today have now opened my cards and presents. Got some lovely presents got a gorgeous watch from sister, only thing not sure how to get into box. Think might go to the gym as got a 2week free membership then maybe wander to Olympic park. As still not been there yet and is literally a short walk away.

Paperwork endless!!
Meeting nursing manager this morning 21st june or so I thought. But was I was actually seeing the nurse manager of human resources. Seeing them at 10am which it had been earlier so could do more. Also Nat had phoned asking if wanting Coogee said would but depended how long it took this morning.
When got to office had so much paperwork to fill in and this was just with her secretary. Then I met the nurse manager but not til about 11ish and had more things to sign like contact, code of conduct etc. Cant believe I now start this monday 25th june, I actually wish I had had more time off to explore. But luckily my first week is just lots of study days so don't actually start on ward til 2nd July, nice. Then found out missing uniform fitting as doing on Monday but on course at Prince Alfred hospital at Camperdown. The next one not til 30th July, which means will have to get something to wear. By the time I actually got out the building think it must of been about 12.30. Phones accommodation and can stay here til 6th August definitely as then might have to move rooms. As can actually stay in staff accommodation for 4months. But think will definitely be ready to move before then. As cooker already annoying as not got one, only two gas hobs, toaster, sandwich maker and microwave.
So not point meeting Nat so decided to go find out how to actually get to the hospital going to on Monday. Got train to Newtown and was about 15 minute walk. Only thing means I will have to be up at 6am on Monday will certainly be a shock to the system. Then went to darling harbour and bought two more Abercrombie tops from USA outlet. Thought best luck for stuff for my uniform got a black top only $5, couldn't find any trousers.
When got home relaxed for abit watching 'Australian Masterchef' which we seem to do most nights when in. Then I went to Rhodes shopping as speaking to family on Skype tonight. First had a look round to see if could find some trousers got some black trousers and 2 white tops for $28, bargain!! Then I spoke to family was so nice to see them via camera and have a good catch up. Showed them my new ugg boots and obviously their liked. My niece looked very cute and fell asleep on my mum just for a change. Think next speaking to them on Sunday. Can't believe my birthday tomorrow.

Cockatoo island and play
Well was so sure was going to miss train this morning so ran for it and actually got their with a minute to spare. Decided since still had my multi ticket would take full benefit of it and go on a ferry again. This time off to cockatoo island not exactly sure what's there, but why not.
I found out that cockatoo island was full off lots of surprises and had lots of different uses. As in 1839 was a prison, then in 1847 a dock and then in 18771 was a industrial school for girls. It is full off lots of history and has the first urban waterfront campground. It was nice to look round and see all this, but I bet it would be nice to see an event their. As have cockatoo film festival once a year Today it was full off school film crews and schools kids on a excursion. I was bit disappointed through that I never saw any cockatoo's.
Next it was back to Sydney as off to Apple store again to sort out phone. Since battery doesn't appear to be keeping the charge very well and Bondi wouldn't swap it for a 3GS. This time their let me upgrade to a 3GS for $89 and was so nice as data just transferred automatically from iPad.
At night a few off us from accomodation went to Newtown to see a play 'Entertaining Mr Sloane'. Trust Lina to miss our train so she met us at theatre. Had a nice glass of wine to start with and the play was certainly entertaining. It was abit bizarre in places and there were also trying to talk in English accents. But it gave us a night out and some culture. Another thing which was strange was that their actually smoked on stage, which just seemed wrong.

Bondi Junction and meal at Burwood
Decided to go to Bondi Junction 19th june as told is good shopping, so thought would go see. Whilst walking to get to train got speaking to a bloke who was dressed in all in green asked if wanted to do yoga with him, said as getting train. Then got to a certain point and said was as far as he could do. Wondered why and he said couldn't go in further as doing community service. Trust me I seem to attract them. As when waiting to catch next train to Bondi a bloke gave me a leaflet about god. But at least he didn't talk about god so he wasn't in my face about it.
Once got to Bondi Junction where to go for the shops so went to Westfield building. Certainly lots of shops to choose found a nice knitted dress in French connection was still about £70 in sale. So decided to leave it for now but am sure it would go nice with my new boots. Bought some L'Occitane hand cream and got a free trial size one. Then a found a gorgeous fossil bag tan satchel type one and bigger another to fit iPad in but is $299. Is just what I want but think will have to wait for pay day. Next stop Apple store to see if would let me change to 3GS for battery replacement could only give me 3G. So booked to go to Sydney store tomorrow.
Then back home as off out tonight for meal to George's cafe in Burwood. Kate not coming but me, Leigh and Hisako plus medical students from upstairs. Was a students 'Emily' from USA who had got scholarship to come. George's cafe is known for its steak so would be rude not to have one. So had vanilla milkshake and New York steak which was steak with peppercorn sauce. I couldn't believe the potions was massive got steak, chips and salad. Definitely could not eat it all, even Emily didn't manage but then said normal shares a plates at home. Steak was $27 so probably similar price you would pay for a good one at home.

Sort phone out
Well not much to do today 18th june, apart from go to Apple store to sort phone out as still not working. It's very annoying as only app can use is mail and rest keeping freezing. So had appointment at 11.40 but whilst waiting got free Internet. Also had taken iPad incase could sync them but couldn't due to only been 3G. Had to wait about 4ins to been seen so not to bad and got it sorted. Offered to change phone to 3GS for $89 but foolishly refused and regretted. As downstairs in shop there still about $170.
There thought might go for a ride on the ferry to cockatoo island or manly. But first something got banana bread as haven't had yet and seems to be loads about. Just had plain but didn't realise you could actually get it toasted will have to try next time. Sat at circular quay eating it and realised got free wi-fi so got distracted on Internet and updating blog. Them looked at time nearly 3 so thought abit late to go on ferry will do another day.

Taronga zoo
Eventually off to zoo today 17th june and when looked out off window was sunny, what a relieve. Off to zoo with Kate and Hisako, as when mentioned Kate really wanted to do. We got train to central again due to train works. We were waiting for the free Green bus but seemed to be taking ages so decided to start walking. Then trust it to arrive so had to run back to bus stop luckily waited for us. The bus dropped us off at circular quay and got ferry from there to Tarongo zoo.
Once got to Tarongo zoo we wanted to go on sky safari but since I hadn't bought zoo ticket yet, we couldn't. So we ended up having to get bus to top of zoo entrance. Then I had to join a long queue for my tickets, so unfortunately missed seal show at 11 but can see later.
First stop koala's which were very cute but were trying to hide in the tree. Then the reptiles which definitely weren't as cute!! The giraffes were good had my picture taken next to the baby giraffe statue which was still taller than me. The views of Sydney were lovely you can see why their picked the zoo to be there. It was then time for the free flight birdshow at 12 which was very good lasted about 30minutes. Couldn't believe how big the vultures wings were.
It was then lunch a lovely hot did and time for seal show at 1pm. Which actually wasn't as good as the bird show and was abit too short only lasted 15minutes. It was then time to see rest of the animals felt like a big kid as wanted to see everything. Saw the elephant stand on two legs and do some tricks. Walked through enclosure off kangaroos and got picture taken. Was a nice idea as felt liked their we're in the wild. Not sure saw all the Australian big 5 which is koala, kangaroo, platypus, emu and wombat. As didn't see the wombat but the platypus was very cute kept swimming in circles, want a teddy now.
We then went to catch the sky safari but could only do one trip. The views of Sydney were amazing and even got to elephant from above. Could see all the boats and yachts on the sea. I think I had seen most of the animals apart from penguins. When got to bottom just made the ferry in time.
When got back, Hisako went home but me and Kate went to have a look round round Royal Botanical Gardens. Which was very big definitely couldn't manage to get round it all in the time we had. Then it was time to catch train backup Rhodes and go view another apartment.
This a time apartment to live with a girl 29yrs old which thought might be better. The room itself was ok but not as nice as last one. Also thought would only be 15-20mins, but was their 45mins as she could talk. So not sure if it's for me also didn't show me round complex which has swimming pool aswell. Might see if can extend here then aim to move July instead.

Museum, The rocks
Off into Sydney again 16th june, I know I do seem to off spent a lot of time in Sydney recently. Only thing is their is alot more to do in Sydney than at Concord. At Concord have Rhodes shopping centre and not far from Olympic park, which I still need to go to.
Anyway got train in but unfortunately doing train work so had to get off at central and walk further. But when got off there I got to see the hotel Me and Rachel stayed at when we were here. Unfortunately it was raining again today but once here I arranged to meet Kate and Leigh from my accommodation. I met them at Westfield where their had just had scones. Can't believe I missed out and said their were very good did a chocolate and cranberry one, another place to go to.
We decided since it was raining we would go look round the museum of contemporary art. Some of the pictures I did just not get but I don't think your supposed to get contemporary. Their was a nice one called 'tiger tiger' was just old yellow road signs all put together was very effective.
Even though it was raining we went to the rocks as their have a market on over the weekend. First thing was food and had a spinach and feta pancake was lovely. Had a look round they wasn't really anything that I really liked but got to try a few more foods. But best to come to the the rocks on a Friday when food market. Then we walked to the observatory hill where you get a good view of the bridge.
We then walked to Opera House to see if anything interesting on and still raining. Their is 'Just for laughs' on in October think that would be good to see. Texted Nat and she is also up for seeing it, as will be good to see something in Opera House. Next was Guylian cafe got a white chocolate and raspberry muffin was nice but the waffle looking amazing.
Leigh and Kate then decided to walk to paddington market said I wasn't that bothered and I needed to go to Ugg and apple. Went to Ugg and still not really sure which to get the flat tan or wedge brown ones. I decided on the wedge as thought would go with more and can wear night and day. Also their we're the only leather boots with the fur lining all the way up, will be nice and warm. Then apple unfortunately couldn't sort out but booked an appointment for Monday. I then went to look round Westfield again is a few English shops like Gap, Aldo, Nine-west and getting a top shop in August. Met the others there and decided we were all tired so walked to town hall hoping trains running from there. Which there was but not straight to Rhodes so had to change but at least saved our legs.

Watson bay
Another trip out today 15th June. I thought I would go to Watson bay today as Nat had told me about it yesterday and sounded nice. Also I got a multi pass ticket which includes bus, train and ferry. So I thought I might as well get my money's worth and have a ride on the ferry. First I went to the Ugg shop to try on my boots again as couldn't decide between two. Still wasn't sure after trying on so decided to go for ferry ride first then buy.
I got ferry from Circular Quay to Watson Bay, it had two stops before reaching my place so probably took about 20mins. On the ferry trip got lovely views off the bridge and opera house. Think will be the only time can get a picture of both of them together when on the ferry.
Once at Watson Bay had a look round is Australia's oldest fishing village founded in 1788. It had little fishing boats on the beach in different colours. Their is two Doyles fishermans places to eat take-away but can still sit in or restaurant. I decided to eat in take-away as was a queue for restaurant and thought nicer when on own. I had a combo where you got 6 calamari, fish and chips with plum sauce was very nice. Only fault is that I probably would of preferred tomato sauce to plum. Then I walked to top of hill as sometimes if you lucky another you may see a whale. It wasn't to be my lucky day as I didn't see a whale but when talking to some people whilst waiting for ferry their had seen one. Their also thought my accent was nice.
Once back in city didn't have time to buy uggs so quickly popped and said will come back tomorrow said that was fine. Then it was back to Rhodes as viewing an apartment tonight. Saw the apartment was very nice had double bed with ensuite, furnished and own courtyard. The person sharing with seemed nice a lad 25years. He showed me round place had 2 pools one heated, small gym, sauna and near park so good for running. Will have a think but do like and quite reasonable price $250 a week. Only thing is not sure if I want to live with a lad and is the first one seen.

Darling harbour
Thought I must do something today 13th June so decided would go into Sydney. Also when I woke up got a message saying only had $10 on phone, so thought could go into shop in Sydney. This time I caught train from Rhodes which was so much easier, was only a 10min walk. Then got off in town hall and when got there was raining, just for a change.
So decided to walk to darling harbour as seemed closest place. Was only a short walk and i bet it is lovely when sunny as next to chinese gardens. So instead i took pictures of harbour but not many boats/ yachts today only tourist ones. But I did get someone to take a picture of me overlooking harbour with my brolly to prove isn't always sunny in Sydney.
After that I wanted somewhere dry so went into the shopping centre 'harbourside', which wasn't as good as I remembered 7 years ago. I did find an old British sweet shop which had lots of choice but probsbly not really been gone long another yet to crave anything. At least I know where to go though when I fancy some carbury's chocolate or even a pot noodle. I found a USA outlet shop which had a lovely hollister top only a XS so to small for me. I did buy a Abercrombie and Fitch navy t-shirt, which I have now worn might have to buy another one. Also found out our flip flips are known here as thongs, how random. After that I got something to eat in food court. Then went to the cockle bay wharf where Sydney aquarium and Madame Tussaud is. Unfortunately it was also still raining but did find the Lindt coffee shop, which will have to try.
Then I wandered into the city and found the ugg shop, found out the classic uggs aren't really much cheaper to buy here. Maybe slightly cheaper but by the time you post them not really worth it. I did find some lovely leather ones for myself said will come back to try on when my feet arent so wet!! The lady in the ugg shop was from lancashire, just shows lots of english come here.
As later on speaking to a lad from london. Who thought i was lovely and would marry me. But decided no point if wanted residence in australia best on marrying an australian.. Then I went to telstra shop and told there had put me on wrong plan and cant change until need topping-up. It was then time to get the train home. Lets hope no rain tomorrow.

Bondi
So Bondi today 14th june just a shame not sunny enough to lie on the beach, but am sure I will have plenty of time to do that in the year. First popped into city to 'apple store' as currently not letting me log on apps just freezes. Said needs updating to see if can find computer to do it on as only got iPad with me, which doesn't do it unfortunately.
Then to Bondi got off train at Bondi junction which looks to have a few good shops. Definitely have to come back shopping even had a apple store if only I had known.. Got bus to Bondi beach and still looked nice even though not sunny. Their was still people surfing, which hopefully by summer I may be able to do. Had a wander down the beach front and obviously took a few pictures be rude not to!!!
Then I met Nat who I met in Manchester, UK at my interview for my job here. Was nice been in touch with someone here whilst I was getting organised to come as am sure i asked her lots off questions. So was finally nice to meet again and find out how things have been going for her. So we sat and had a coffee and catch up she must be enjoying as applying for registration. Let's see if that's me in a few months time.
Next we went for a short coastal walk Bondi to tamarama beach. Tamarama beach was a small beach between two headlands surrounded by parkland and picnic areas. The coastal walk is a combination off stunning beaches about five, parks and amazing coastal views. It is a 6km walk starting at Bondi finishing Coogee beach, I am sure I will do it whilst here.
Then it was time for something to eat as starting to feeling abit hungry. Went to 'Nikos' a Greek restaurant had hallomi and moussaka, ver nice. Also had a glass wine first one since beeb in Sydney if you dont count the one on the plane here. Then we 'Ravesi's Wine bar' for another wine was very nice surroundings. It was then time to leave and get my bus and train back to Concord.

Lazy days
Woke up yesterday morning and was raining, so what to do. Went to use Internet cafe in hospital for a short while then just chilled out in the lounge watching TV. It was supposedly the worst rain Sydney had had in 6 years. Had a new bloke arrive into our accommodation from England so that means is now 3 from England including me and all from up north.
At least today when woke up the sun was shining aim today to sort out phone as still not working even though got a SIM card. Also to try and finding some bedding as hospital bedding not the best found a ikea. So went to Rhodes shopping centre got my phone sorted as the woman had forgotten to transfer SIM over. Also bought a cheap duvet set from ikea but must be better than hospital bedding and got a duvet aswell. When got home made bed and looks a lot better just need a poster now to go on the wall.

First run in Sydney and no phone
Woke up early this morning at 6.30 tried to get back to sleep but with no success. So played games on my iPad at first hoping might send me back to sleep but didn't. Then decided at about 8.30 might aswell get up and have breakfast. Was eating my toast when the men came to empty the bins very bizarre. Thought would let breakfast settle then go for a run so at about 9.39 was just about to get ready for run. When I looked out off window and it was raining but it only lasted about 10mins.
So then decided best go for a run thought would go the way I walked yesterday. Running group will be proud as been for my first run now in Sydney. It was only a short one 1 and half miles, but it was under 10min miles. Not bad since I haven't been running for nearly 2weeks. Found a nice scenic footpath to run 'kokoda track memorial walkway' and was only short as had to try and get my bearings aswell. After went exploring round the outside of the hospital. Got told by Chinese bloke that had 'fit body', must be because I was all in black.
Next job to sort out phone thought would go to Internet cafe in hospital. To see if logged in to iTunes would it let me sync phone with different sim, unfortunately no. So decided would have to have another trip to Rhodes shopping centre after lunch. Made myself some pasta with cream cheese and pesto sauce, was nice. Then sorted out my pictures in my room a family and friends side. Next I feel I needed to buy bedding as hospital bedding not the best, even with my free emirates blanket.
Then off to Rhodes again and guess what just about to go and raining so had a little nap and hope stopped when wake up. When woke up was still raining but not as bad so got hat, coat and umbrella ready. Was worried as when arrive was 5.30 and not sure if shops shut early on Sunday's. So went straight to Telstra mobile shop and luckily still open. Said could sync my phone to iTunes for extra cost $20, what a surprise. But had no option so did it left phone a hour like told but still not working. Also my O2 sim bit working in other phone saying restricted so no phone now.
So whilst here thought might aswell go on Internet and speak to friends on Skype and buy groceries. Then invited to watch film with girls in accommodation tonight.

Find internet
Lazy day on 9th June as didn't get up til lunchtime and my main job today to find Internet. As does say for staff accommodation that their is an Internet cafe. Asked the girls in accommodation but not but one said is free wi-fi at Rhodes shopping centre.
First went to reception in hospital to ask if any Internet and said 'Yes downstairs in cafeteria'. So went there they was Internet but only one computer. It worked but was very slow cost $2 for 20mins so quite reasonably.
After that decided I would go exploring and try to find Rhodes shopping centre. Which was actually quite easy to find and only took 15-20min walk. I found the food court and the girl in the accommodation was right you do get free Wi-fi, yippee. Think I played on the Internet for about 3hours chatted to sister on Skype was nice. Then time to walk bed and didn't seem to take long probably as I now knew my was

First trip to Sydney
Thought best go into Sydney today Friday 8th june as lots of things to sort out and public holiday on Monday so a few places shut. First though to tackle the shower at first couldn't get it to work. But after a few attempts I got it working and had a lively warm shower well deserved. Then phoned my recruitment consultant 'jonelle' to let her know I arrived safely.
Next task to find out how to actually get into Sydney from where I was at Concord. So I went to ask the nice men at security again. Unfortunately Peter wasn't there but their was another man who was equal as helpful. Told me to get the blue 458 bus to strathfield station and then get the train direct into sydney. So that is what I did I caught the bus first and whilst at the train was speaking to a man who told me best to get off at circular quay as was most central to where I needed to be.
When I got off at circular quay had to check my map to see where I had to be. Luckily the nice man at the train station had told me which streets to take to get to the tax office. Once at tax office told them had to set me a tax file number so got me going on computer. But every time I tried to put postcode kept telling was wrong, so their gave me another one which worked. So that was that all sorted just need to wait to get in post.
Next job Medicare the people at the tax office told me where it was so wasn't too hard to find. Was in a shopping so first time to get something to eat as hadn't had breakfast as no food in accommodation. So had fruit and yoghurt very healthy, something's never change. Then to sort out Medicare more paperwork and got to phone them with my Australian number, once I eventually get it sorted.
Then to bank to set up but luckily had already done most paperwork online so just had to give address here, proof off identity and sign name to open account. Opened a saving and visa account aswell and good job is still Internet banking. Told had to go to Liverpool street to pick up ATM card which can only use at my bank NAB ir charges you, that never happens in UK. Once there their tried to get me to open credit card. Said no at minute and costs $30 to open one.
Last job was to go to nursing registration to show them my visa. But obviously with them never that simpler was talking to couple who was their and said 2nd time back here. So told me needed proof of address a statement from bank would do. Luckily I had my bank next door to popped down to get and off a charge for it only $4. Then took it back to them and will get my full registration through the post in next few days.
At last all jobs done for now but still need to get Australian SIM card and phone hospital. So time to buy a few things like food and found tetley's tea bags, what a relieve. To go with the nice cup I also bought to have my cuppa in. Then it was time to get the train back not before getting a bite to eat wanted chips and gravy but had no gravy so made do without.
Didn't get back to accommodation toll 6.30ish and was tired must off been all the walking I had done and jetlag catching up. So went to sleep!!

Arrive in sydney
Well made it to Sydney and customs was fine no bother just walked straight through, didn't even ask to see my visa.. Then was been met by Desiree at the meeting point I got there and couldn't see her. So went back to where I came out no sign. Looked at info to check and said 30-60 mins after landing so thought since got out on time might not be here. Went to wait in meeting point and some nice taxi drivers phoned her for me who and she said she would be about 15-20mins. So had to wait abit longer she got there about 7.45 a hour and half after I landed. But was still nice to have someone pick me up. Unfortunately I don't think she had really took anyone to concord hospital before so kept looking at her directions.
Not sure how long it took to get to accommodation just know it was nice to get there. Went to security gate who had my key waiting for me, which was a relieve. The security man 'Peter' helped carry my things to my room then showed me round the accommodation. Then it was time to say bye to Desiree and petter and get used to my new surrounding.
At least one good thing my room was opposite the bathroom. Also if you looked out the window you could just about see the Sydney Harbour Bridge. My room was basic and abit old looking but once unpacked and made my bed with hospital linen felt better. Only thing is their had only given me 5 coat-hangers, definitely not enough for me.
After unpacking thought would have a lie down for a while as feeling abit weary. Am sure I had set my alarm for 11.30 but next time I knew it was 6 no exploring for me today then. Will just have to do it all tomorrow.

2nd flight to sydney
Well 2nd flight from Dubai to Sydney was just as good. Only thing is we seemed to be sat on the runway awhile before we took off.
This time sat on 79A just after the wing so got a good which was nice since it was daylight. Also I got 3 seats to myself again so could stretch out, how nice..
This time I watched a few films W.E which was abit dull in place about king Edwards affair written by Madonna. The next films I watched were a lot better The Decendants, One Day, the new Footloose. Then it was time for a sleep and had a good as could stretch out. When woke was breakfast had ordered fruit platter which was ok but would of preferred more pineapple than melon. Then I watched my last film Mission Impossible-Ghost Protocol., after it has finished we were landing.

Dubai airport
Well now at Dubai airport and been here nearly 2 hours now. Is wednesday morning here 9am and Dubai is 3hrs in front. Not sure if next flight is on time but hoping so.
My first flight was nice got 3 seats to myself so could stretch out and it was a window seat, seat 21k. Watched 3 films This means war, The vow and I don't know how she does it. Which were all good in their own way all chick flicks. I even got a sleep which was a bonus, with my new pillow work got me. The food actually wasn't that bad had ordered a seafood meal which was ok ate about half. Which is good for me as normally just turn nose up at it. Let's hope the 2nd flight is just as good.
But once off the plane felt slightly like a zombie, am sure I must of had that glazed look. Tempted to buy a apple macbook air but once converted wasn't that much cheaper, will price up in Sydney or wait for Black Friday again.. Still sat waiting to go to gate but at least one good thing get free Internet.

Leaving uk
Well that's it now all checked in and in departure lounge waiting to go to boarding gate. When checked luggage in weighed 32.6kg so had to pay £70 which is what I was expecting. Also there didn't weigh my hand luggage and that's supposed to only weigh 7kg but think mine must be about 10kg. Must off taken pity on me after I had to pay excess. Also don't think I have ever travelled in so much clothing. After checking in was off to get a drink with mum and dad and saw jedward. Think their look exactly like the tv but abit shorter.
Had a going away drink non-alcoholic then I knew time was coming to say bye. I hate saying goodbyes don't think their are ever easy but unfortunately is one of those things you have to do. But hopefully their will be coming out to see me in February. Obviously we all had tears which is bound to be expected.
Once through in departure lounge had a wander round but not really in mood for it. Rachel phoned me to wish me well which was nice then mum and dad again. Then it was time to go to departure gate and get on plane which is on time. I have got butterflies at the moment must be the nerves and excitement all rolled into one. Was going to phone sister but thought would prefer end up in tears, which I have already

Meet and Greet
Good news just been informed that I will be met at Sydney airport when I arrive. As originally I was told that no-one available to meet me on Thursday 7th June at 6.05am. So I would off had to have taken a taxi on my own.
It is a relieve to know that someone will be there to meet me and take me to my accommodation. I think it also makes my mum and dad feel happier that I get meet and greet on arrival

Last full day in UK
Can't believe the time has now come to my last full day in England. When I last talking about it it seemed so far away, but now it is actually here.. So what to do on my last day.
Decided to spend it with my sister and niece Ellie as won't get to see them for a year. As very doubtful that they will come out to see me unless there will win the lottery. We had a lovely day together went for a walk by the river and had a ice-cream, also went to valley gardens.
We watched the jubilee celebrations which was nice to see before I go just a shame I will miss the London Olympics. When the celebrations had finished both me and my sister knew the time had come to say bye. Which I think it was we had both been dreading all day as we knew we would have to do it at some point. We gave each other a hug and we were both in tears then I had to go. Most of the way home I couldn't stop crying. Also I know tomorrow I will have more goodbyes to come. Then I had to come home and sort out my packing and a have a glass of wine..
At this moment in time I wonder am I doing the right thing but I know it is always what I wanted to do. Its just very daunting at the moment as am leaving my family and friends to go to a new place. So I suppose I have a mixture of nerves and excitement.
