So didn't sleep the best work up during in night woke up 6.30 but didn't go for breakfast til 8ish this time had granola and Greek yohurt. Leave 9ish then walk up towards broadway and 5th avenue going past Empire State Building but Debbie not bothered going in. Then to take pictures of the famous public library and central station which have both been in any many films/TV programmes. Couldn't believe that central station even had an Apple store, how bizarre and is 100 years old this year. Walk up Madison Avenue to the famous toy store FAO Schwarz which has lots of toys which never seen before. Wanted to buy Ellie something but couldn't decide what as so much choice, so will have to come back tomorrow. It also has the famous big piano which was in the BIG film and offers abit of nostalgia but decided against playing on it. The Apple store was next door so thought we might aswell have a look which was slightly cheaper but didn't buy anything. Then to go look round Central Park decided to do a rickshaw ride so hopefully see more of the park than on foot. Central Park is a manmade wonder was the 1st public park in America took 16yrs to make is 840 acres. First stop to the rock which looked down on the amusement park in summer and ice rink in winter to start september which is nicer to look at. Also the rock is famous and gives you a lovely view and has been a setting for many films the most recent been the smuffs. In the upper east side is old town and doesn't allow any celebrities to live there. At this point it started raining so glad got rickshaw to the famous Bethesda fountain is the most well known and recognised fountains in the world. The centrepiece of the fountain 'Angel of the Waters' represents peace, health, purity and temperance. Then past Loeb boathouse, to cherry hill fountain which is the seen in 'Friends' and to bow bridge. Bow bridge is where most proposals happen in New York and is very beautiful you can why proposals are made here. It was then to strawberry fields to see the famous imagine memorial for John Lennon near Dakota building where he was shot. By the time the tour has finished it was still raining so decided to go to America museum of Natural History to stay dry. First was the 'Journey to the Stars' exhibition which was engrossing and got to see how magical stars are. Look at the North American mammals then to the IMAX for penguin show which was about the king penguins. Their journey from youth to fatherhood based in Antarctica which was funny in places and the babies were very cute. Time then for food to level 4 cafe but unfortunately not that much choice so ended up with just crisps and drinks. Then to find the 'Whales: Giants of the Deep' which wasn't as good as the last day which was a variety of exhibits. Had a look round the dinosaurs as I really wanted to see them and was very impressed with them, then to mammals and Indians. Decided not to do the frog exhibition as didn't really interest us so ended up leaving about 4.30. Glad we went as there is so much o see think we spent about 4 hours once left took picture of the outside. It was then to find the Belvedere Castle in Central Park which we found and I imagined a big medieval castle. But this one is not like this it is very nice with a nice view of Turtle Pond, the Great Lawn and some of the New York skyline. Then to find the Alice in Wonderland statue walked past boat house on route looked very nice was in film 7 dresses. The statue was bigger than expected and very impressive, it is also a fine addition to Central Parks magic feel. I also found the Hans Christian Anderson with ugly duckling and balto sled dog statues which were very interesting. Walk past radio city, Rockefeller centre and found Magnolia bakery which is famous because of Sex in the City. Debbie then wanted to go to the NHL hockey shop as collects hockey jerseys but decided to just get top. Got to Times Square and to TKTS a discount booth which offers 50% off broadway tickets decided to see Cinderella. To then find Shake Shack a modern day burger stand serving delicious burgers but unfortunately a long queue and only had 40 minutes. So unfortunately not enough time so had to find sone here else but didn't really fancy McDonalds. Ended up going to Jamba Juice just for a snack and a drink was ok but nothing amazing. Then to Broadway to see show was good had a slight twist on normal version and had a few funny moment. Debbie got done milk duds in the interval which were very similar to poppets. Then time to walk back to hotel took over an hour stop seven/eleven for corn dogs mini x3 were nice. Get back feet ache and ice machine now working and the hit chocolate tasted a lot better than the first night I had it. Then time for our Magnolia cupcakes I had the red velvet one, wasn't disappointed is definitely a must for sweet tooths and as good as last time. Shower as felt dirty then bed 1ish.
