One year since met Tiago away in Blue Mountains...

Week beginning 21st July on nights this week but luckily got the weekend off which is good as is 1 year since met Tiago on Sunday 27th July. So planned to go away to near blue mountains to celebrate our year together so boomed to stay in hotel with pool and sauna. But first had to work all week on nights and so much to organise first as off have to look my best for the weekend. Also unfortuantely I didn't sleep the best at the start off the week only had 3 hours the first night but luckily 2nd night slept abit better. When got up Wednesday thought best buy so e new lingerie for weekend so went to lingerie ship down the street from me. I fancied having a red one and I tried on a few but none what I liked so ended up getting a blue one which is no surprise since my favourite colour. On Thursday after work on way home dropped into the road transport authority office to sort out licence but couldn't do as needed more documents. Not sure what time got up but had to be at Chic beauty salon at 3pm to have pedicure and laser hair removal to underarm, bikini line and lower legs. So first had the laser hair removal which was less painful than before and didn't take too long. Then for pedicure and difficult part was deciding what colour to have decided on a dark purple as had blue last time. Afterwards my feet felt so soft and mentioned wanted a red lipstick so then there did my make up for me. The make up there did looked nice and really liked the red lipstick not too bright might have to buy at some point. Also gave me some disposal flip flops to wear so my toe nails wouldn't smudge as only had full shoes to put on. Mentioned to them that also needed hair doing and hadn't found one near here mentioned one there go to also phoned up for me and going tomorrow. It was then home put normally shoes and then go to the city to sort out my NSW driving licence. Was only near Wynyard station and thought wouldn't be too busy but had to wait nearly an hour and was so easy. Luckily since from UK don't have to do test like Tiago all I had to do was prove can drive, do eye test then pay $54 for just one year. Unfortuantely didn't get get my card yet will take about a week but gave me a paper copy so can actually drive now. When Tiago got home he noticed I had my make up done which was very observant off him but unfortuantely had to take off before going to work. Tiago asked if I wanted to drive but said since first time for a while probably best not to drive at night prefer in day first so he drove. Work ok  but unfortuantely my AIN not the best just no initiative had to remind to do things and so glad last one. After work straight to Chic beauty salon to have spray tan my first one not sure I needed but just felt like having one as always feel better when tanned. Felt strange when got home as so used to having a shower straight but couldn't have one otherwise would wash off the tan so straight to bed. Didn't sleep the best and when got up have shower was worried would remove all tan but still felt brown. Then straight to hair dresser NV hair studio which was only about 10 minute walk from my home which is even better. As soon as got in the hair studio was lots off police think was a massive drug bust right outside studio and told to stay inside for 10 minutes. My stylist was Matthew who was very nice, told him off to blue mountains this weekend and recommended best way to get there also place to eatin blackheath 'Vulcan's as parents live there. Whilst having hair do even got to have a glass off wine which was nice definitely like my new hairdresser and hairdresser very impressed with, will go again. After having hair done straight to city saw Tiago briefly to say hi and liked my new hair even though probably not that much difference. Then to catch bus to Moore Park to meet Nat at entertainment quarter to go see Lily Allen at Holden Pavillion and was already queue to see her even though a few hours til starts. First for dinner unfortuantely the service abit slow but food ok and Nat liked my hair, then go for drink at PJ Gallaghers Irish pub first which was very busy. But at least when got to concert no queuing was first time at this venue which was smaller than others and to wait abit for her to start but was worth it. There was a few songs I didn't know as from her new album but close the show Lily chose, in my opinion, her finest hit with It’s Not Fair. Got home 11.30ish then not to late to bed as wanted early start on Saturday so could make most off weekend. I was hoping would leave 10ish and have breakfast on route think left just after 11 Tiago asked if wanted to drive again but declined. Unfortuantely didn't really pass many places to eat on the way so ended up just going to McDonalds but was too late for breakfast. On way tried to find number for Vulcan restaurant but unfortunately shut but was good recommendations for Vesta. Luckily phoned up but could only fit us in at 9.30 which we said would be fine. Got to hotel Redleaf Resort just before 2 and luckily could check in abit early as check in 1.30. Wanted to go in Swimming pool and sauna but had to open and warm it up, also fancied a coffee and no way to get at hotel. So drove into Blackheath found a cute little cafe where we had coffee and scones just what we needed. When we got back swimming pool now open and very strange had to access from outside no access from hotel. Was in a little conservatory and the sun was shinning so felt like summer also we were only two in for a while. We ended been in it for nearly 30 mins and could tell Tiago bought up near water. As he was very happy swimming under water whilst I much prefer been on top off it. After the swimming pool we went into the sauna which was very small could only fit maybe four in and was only in for 15 mins. Since not eating til late thought we would have something to eat to keep us going so had the cheese platter and some wine. Watched TV for abit and just chilled before we had to go out, we might even off fallen asleep for abit. Had choice off two outfits to wear in the end decided to wear my skirt and blue top so could wear the necklace Tiago got me. Went to Vesta restaurant in Blackheath for meal which was only a 5 minute drive away and Tiago asked if I wanted but declined. The restaurant was only small so could see why it was hard to get a table, it was warm and bustling filled with happy diners. We fancied the lamb to share but unfortuantely it was sold out, so instead we had the slow roasted beef to share. The dish was superb with generous portions off meat, vegetables and potatoes was the best roast beef I've eaten in a while slow roasted in the wood fired oven. Would definitely recommend this restaurant as it offered great food at a reasonable price eventhough we found the menu selection quite minimal. When back at hotel watched some TV and then finish the wine which we bought with us it wasn't too late anight. In the morning up early as have to check out 10am but first get breakfast and the chef had made us a warm breakfast so be rude not to have. On top off the warm breakfast there was cereals, yoghurts and fruits available but unfortuantely couldn't fit everything in just had warm breakfast then some fruit. Checked out on time and would recommend Redleaf Resort as nice quite location clean comfy rooms with friendly managers and staff ever so helpful. Once checked out decided to go do some exploring as it would be a shame not to see some off the scenery whilst here. So decided to go to Evans lookout point which is only a 5 minute drive away and I drove as thought a good opportunity felt abit strange at first since automatic not manual. Evans Lookout is located at the top of the escarpment at the end of Evans Lookout Road. It is the beginning of a number of tracks in and out of the Gorge including the Grand Canyon walk and the Cliff Top Track to Govetts Leap. From this point you have magnificent views of the Grose Valley and Govetts Gorge, luckily the sun was shining for us. I ended up driving all the way back to Sydney which took about 2hours and in the end I quite enjoyed it.

Finish and start new job

Last week off work starting 23rd June but had 23rd June off so arranged to meet Hisako at Bondi Junction to go for Sushi at the place Tiago took me a few weeks ago. Before met though did abit shopping as wanted to find a English teapot to give work as a leaving present. But unfortuantely couldn't find an English one even though found one online off a London red bus but couldn't find anywhere to buy it not even at the British sweet shop. But did end up finding my Peter Alexander English pyjamas in the sale so had to buy even if had to go to two shops to complete outfit. Met Hisako in Westfield and still not got my teapot looked in tea for two and then went to Myer where had a sale. Where I found a Le Creuset red teapot which not British but at least was red which represented England and good make, so bought it. It was then to the sushi place where Tiago took me, the sushi was such as good as last time and all plates were a set price. Good portions, great price, great taste but location is not known to many is a diverse range of dishes I especially liked the wagyu beef nearly had 2 portions. Then on Tuesday was to start last week off work on 5 East and on lots off afternoons this week 4 out of 5 shifts. On Wednesday night one off the girls mentioned about doing afternoon tea for me on Friday since couldn't attend Korean BBQ on Saturday which sounded good. Trust me not to finish on time first 2 afternoon and on Wednesday night after Tiago picked me up and got flat tyre on way home after only 5 minutes. Was so annoying couldn't find the jack to get the wheel so was going to get taxi home then collect tomorrow was in the taxi when he offered to help. So he lent us his jack to change the wheel and good job he helped as the bolts were very tough took both off them to loosen them. Don't think ended up getting home til about midnight but at least we got car home instead off leaving it overnight. On Thursday before work decided would make something for my afternoon tea tomorrow so did "Granny's fridge cake" which is an easy creation and tastes good. At work was a busy shift and had a palliative patient who scratched, punched and tried to hit things at me like the drip stand. Also had to get security involved as had to give him something to calm and I knew if tried to get too close I would probably get hit so security had to hold him. Luckily I didn't get too hurt just ended up getting a few scratches and I was the main nurse there but at least calmed down after gave him something. Unfortuantely Tiago couldn't pick me up tonight as didn't want to risk driving on the spare tyre but luckily someone gave me lift to Strathfield, so got home 11ish. On Friday tried to book Korean BBQ for Saturday but unfortuantely couldn't get into our usual place at Campsie so booked one in Strathfield which someone recommended. At work decided to stay in the staff accommodation tonight since on early tomorrow so easy for me than travelling. Only thing is at work my foot felt sore was the heel on my left foot no idea what caused it but think was plantar fasciitis. Got to go look around the palliative care unit today as thought be good to see before I start on Tuesday and looks nice everything brand new. When got back had our afternoon tea and considering only arranged it 2 days go was plenty off food. Was so much good food and homemade was pakora, dumplings, spring rolls, also my granny's fridge cake went down well. Rest off shift at work was ok, luckily our aggressive patient from yesterday was now been specialed and seemed slightly better. In the staff accommodation was very hot overnight and didn't sleep the best which is normal as wake up every few hours. At work on Saturday 28th June was my last shift on 5 East which it didn't really feel like it as was just another normal busy shift. Everyone seemed to like the leaving gifts I bought them the teapot, Yorkshire tea bags, English biscuits which were hob nobs and dark chocolate digestives. So you could see the them was English not sure how often there will use the teapot but it's the thought that counts and didn't have one on the ward. Managed to finish at 3pm Tiago offered to pick but would have to wait 30-40 minutes depending on traffic. Luckily one off the girls offered to gave me a lift to Strathfield since was my last shift which was nice off her. Once home home chill for abit then time to get ready to go out again as meeting some off the girls from work for Korean BBQ in Strathfield. Met at 7pm and never been to this Korean BBQ before but found easily unfortuantely was not many off us since short notice so only me, Michelle, her son Liam and May. Went to Bassim restaurant which was recommended by Reena at work and was told to try the marinated beef which was good. Bassim Restaurant is a unique Korean barbecue restaurant offering diners the opportunity to barbecue their own meats and seafood, or select dishes from our a la carte menus. Was very nice bursting with flavour and would definitely go back again also everyone else seemed to enjoy it. Luckily Tiago offered to collect me but had to wait abit for him so me and May went to get coffee then couldn't find him at first as parked at other side off train station. On Sunday didn't really do much just a lazy day and then on Monday arranged to meet Kat for lunch at Bondi junction but first to doctors. At doctors diagnosed plantar fasciitis to my sore foot which can take up to 18 months to heel also iron deficient so needto eat more iron rich foods. Once at Bondi junction had a little look round first at wanted new bag for work which found wasnt exactly as I wanted but will do til I find what I really want and wasn't expensive. Met Kat about 1ish and ended up going to a nice little organic cafe situated on Oxford street. This wholefoods cafe has an outstanding menu and there are no artificial flavours, colours, sweeteners, preservatives or trans fats in any of the delicious dishes. It's one of the more popular spots at the moment, luckily got a table outside in the sunshine and was the only table left. I had the beef and linseed burger was worth the wait, best part was good food and healthy at the same which is a massive plus. The cafe also extends out into a grocers and natural pharmacy, it's a one stop shop for natural products. On Tuesday 1st July was first day on the brand new Palliative Care Unit at Concord which is a 20 bedded unit. Since first day didn't have many patients only had 4 patients and 3 staff I was the only staff from concord all others from Canterbury apart from NUM and one from RPA. Tiago at so e dinner tonight with work so had to find my own way home and trust the bus to be late met Tiago at Wynyard. Tuesday got a belated birthday present from Debbie which was lots off English, which can't wait to eat and a bracelet. Only had 6 patients on Wednesday and ward a lot calmer than old one but might change once open fully to 20 patients. On Thursday thought had got on wrong bus to work but was sure it had said Wynyard luckily it was the right one but went through North Sydney aswell. Supposed to meet Nat and Lou for dinner tonight but rearranged til Saturday since Tiago off to the snow with his brother and wife unfortunately I can't go as working. Friday on another early shift and had training on PCOC which is Palliative Care Outcomes Collaboration. It aims to improve palliative care patient outcomes through routine clinical outcome measurement, periodic surveys and benchmarking. PCOC is the only national program that uses standardised validated clinical assessment tools to benchmark and measure outcomes in palliative care. So it basically our assessment tool for palliative care and two more staff from Concord who start in a few weeks but then trust us to finish abit later. Just had early night on Friday since both up early on Saturday as Tiago off skiing to Jindabyne and me at work. But felt strange as Tiago actually up before me as left about 4ish as takes about 8 hours to get to the snow and was difficult to get back to sleep. Couldn't believe have never really had to travel before to work on Saturday as normally stay in staff accommodation night before. So trust there to be track work but managed to get train to Strathfield then got taxi from there to work as couldn't see any buses at least got there on time and only $15. Luckily work ok and I was in charge for the first time on new unit which was fine but had a relatives not happy. Managed to finish on time ans was waiting at bus stop when saw staff from 5 east and her partner kindly dropped me off at Strathfield station. On way home called in at UGG store and boots still in sale so couldn't resist had to buy tempted to wear tonight for dinner but didn't go with outfit. Once home chill for abit then go to city later to meet Nat and Lou for dinner at Cyren restaurant at darling harbour at 7.30pm. Trust me to be the last one to arrive food was lovely had kangaroo on sweet potato mash then berry soufflĂ© highly recommend. Was nice to catch up as Lou goes home to England next week for holiday and Nat has family coming so won't see them for a while. Also got another belated birthday was a joint present from them a star Thomas sabo charm for my bracelet and luckily didn't already have. Wasn't a late night as girls couldn't go for drinks as Lou has too much to organise before flying so got home 10pm. When got home found on SBS channel was showing the Tour de France going through Yorkshire dales nice to see but have to watch tomorrow as goes through near where I live. On Sunday did chores in morning then went shopping to Birkenhead point as wanted a black jumper which managed to find and also got presents for niece and godsons for Christmas. When home decided to do some cooking for the week so made chilli with brown rice and nachos for my dinner tonight. Spoke to mum tonight on Skype, dad not there as had gone to watch the Tour de France with Sharon and mums shoulder still sore. Unfortuantely Tiago didn't get home til nearly midnight and I was already in bed at this time as got fed up waiting but did see Tour de France again. Second week off work and feels alot better did 3 lates then 2 earlies since on lates got to finish watching the Breaking bad series and liked the ending better than expected. On Wednesday on another late and Cate the NUM asked to have a word so was thinking hope done nothing wrong. Luckily done nothing wrong just wanted to ask me if I would be acting NUM when she goes on holiday in September and I agreed. As thought will be a good challenge and just shows that I must be doing something right on new unit.

Birthday weekend in Melbourne

Finish nights Friday 20th June morning and felt so tired especially between 4 and 5. Also couldn't get seat on train when got one a seat the past few days and do much to do when home eventually went to sleep 9ish. Woke up 12 then back fell back to sleep til 1on the sofa watching TV. Not that hungry so just had smoothie for breakfast, pack or Melbourne ended up having to take suitcase as went put in hold all would be too heavy. It was then to go for my manicure and pedicure in Neutral Bay at American Spa said had room but ended up having feet in spa for nearly 20 mins before started. Did feet first choose a nice blue colour gave them a little scrub first but suppose feet not that bad at moment so didn't do much. It was then nails on hand choose a pale colour as thought a colour might be too much since don't normally have colour on them. Must off been nearly a hour when getting bored off waiting for them to dry so went and put in dryers and trust me to smudge a toe nail but she re-painted. Once in dryer must off had them under for 5-10 mins when took them out told needed longer but had to get going since had flight to catch and already after 3. Realised when went to pay had to pay by cash and trust me not to off enough so had to go to cash machine. But told to be careful with nails and when told to be careful trust have to do lots of things with hands, so ended up smudging some nails by getting keys out off bag etc. When got home tried to find my woolly hat as thought might need in Melbourne but never found hopefully won't be too cold. When got to bus stop about 15.40 seem to be waiting ages eventually got on bus after 15.50. Straight to Wynyard and luckily direct train to domestic airport from there and arrived at airport just before 16.30. When got there heading checking in shouting anyone going to melbourne at 17.35 to check in as check in shutting shortly. Was abit worried as Tiago not here so went to speak said had 10 minutes otherwise if not here by then would have to get later flight, which didn't want to do. Luckily Tiago made it with less than 1 minute to go and I was stood at the check in desk waiting for him. After check in straight to security and then go find our gate as less than 30 mins til we fly but got there and trust our flight to be delayed. Ended up been nearly 30 minutes delayed but at least had pre booked our seats together and just enough room in overhead lockers for our luggage. Thought might get a nap on flight but didn't end up happening but at least flight only short about hour and half. Got the SkyBus a reliable low cost airport bus service from airport into city which runs every 10 mins. Unfortunately just missed the bus but at least didn't have to wait long for next one journey took about 20 mins. Had TV on bus showing things to do whilst in Melbourne like eureka tower, Melbourne star observation wheel, aquamarine etc. arrived at Southern Cross Station in Melbourne's city centre and do free hotel transfer and unfortunately our hotel out of radio us. So got taxi to our hotel staying at the Royce hotel which is a five star boutique hotel on st Kilda road with 100 stylish and doesn't disappoint as soon as you entry is very beautiful. As soon as step into room was get changed and go out the door again to go meet Amy and Ryan for dinner at Italian village at il cantucci. Luckily we had changed time as supposed to eat at 8pm which would off been late for so luckily was 9pm and was still a few minutes late but Amy and Ryan already got wine. We were not disappointed, I would highly recommend it Be warned though, they do not serve pizzas and there is no background music. The food is fresh, cooked to your liking is basically down to earth Italian food decided to try the squid ink black linguini served with seafood and touch of chilli, as never tried before and was intrigued to what it tasted like. What is it about eating black foods that it almost dares you not to eat and is definitely not for the timid eater it looks bizarre when arrives but tastes good. It tasted abit different to normal pasta as is slightly more salty and has a more seafood flavour which could of been because of the seafood in it. I found it to be quite flavourful would definitely try again but Tiago wasn't impressed with it preferred his porterhouse with capers, black olives and anchovies. Was a nice night Amy and Tiago mainly talked about work since both work for same firm but Amy just moved to Melbourne so me and Ryan speaking a fellow English person. Ended up having 3 bottles of red wine between 4 of us and was the second table to leave not sure what time got in. As soon as in order our breakfast for the morning by filling in slip for door so get room service. Then sleep bed nice and comfy woke up before breakfast arrived  had full English breakfast was good just what needed. But couldn't manage to eat everything as also got crossiants and fruit salad will have later. Tiago feeling abit delicate so I went to the pharmacy to get some paracetamol and some water. Once back at hotel thought about going out to explore but was raining lightly so just chilled and think fell asleep again. When woke up had rest off breakfast and then went to get coffee and looked a nice coffee thought maybe go there for breakfast tomorrow. Also went to the wine shop to get wine for tonight and get more water and coke. When back look round hotel found gym which was very small and disappointed no pool thought a five star boutique would have a pool. By time back was time to get ready for tonight but not sure if enough time to eat in Dish there restaurant. So got room service again Fish n Chips this time which was ok but not the best had in Australia. Then get changed for tonight wearing my new clothes skirt, top and boots. Even though  wore boots last weekend not the feet seemed abit tight but once had on a while seem to ease. Got taxi to the theatre as not quite sure where it was so didn't want to risk using tram and getting lost. As soon as got to the theatre felt like a big kid looked so impressive so off course had to have a picture taken outside. Inside the stage looked very enchanting even our seats were good had a good view off the stage just couldn't wait for it to start. Wicked is the untold of the witches of Oz, long before Dorothy dropped in, two other girls meet in the land of Oz. One born with emerald green skin is smart, fiery and misunderstood, the other is beautiful, ambitious and very popular. It was absolutely fantastic......best musical I've ever seen in a long time eventhough seen before. We had great seats too which made it even more enjoyable. The leads were incredibly talented with amazing voices, my particularly favourite was Elphaba the green witch and Glinda was also good..together they were electrifying and dynamic. Would definitely recommend it to anyone is amazing to watch, the setting and lighting effects were incredible ....it held us spell bound for the entire performance but preferred 1st half. My favourite moment was the witch elephaba singing defying gravity just amazing, even Tiago enjoyed aswell. After show got taxi back to hotel and went for our free welcome drink sparkling wine, since never had time yesterday and got there just in time before last orders. After having drink was feeling abit hungry so walked down street and found a McDonalds so had a burger then back to hotel and had red wine bought earlier. In morning on my birthday woke up 9ish as had to check out by 11 but was actually sorted earlier and went to cafe saw yesterday but unfortuantely shut. Decided to walk into city as didn't seem to far ended up taking us half hour to get to Federation Square luckily was a nice walk going past royal botanical gardens. Once at Federation Square needed breakfast went to timeout cafe which is great location in the centre of the city. The service was good and the food came out really fast. I had the Atlantic salmon which was salmon, poached eggs, asparagus, sourdough and potato rosti was delicious but couldn't manage all off the rosti. We were both not disappointed Tiago had the eggs benedict, would definitely go back as great menu choices. After breakfast got the free tram to near Southern Cross train Station so could leave our luggage there instead off carrying around all day. It was then to the Eureka Skydeck 88 the a Southern Hemishepe's highest viewing platform for an inspiring view of Melbourne. Decided we would do the edge experience aswell as something different but told may have to wait 1 hour to do it. The edge is the only observation deck in the world that can thrill you with a glass cube which projects 3 metres out from the building with you in it suspended almost 300 metres above the ground! The Eureka Skydeck is a definate, must do, when you visit Melbourne. It gives you the most magnificent views of Melbourne and got 10% off from the visitors guide we picked up on the Skybus. Is good to sit down and take it all in to enjoy the view of all off Melbourne's sporting facilities and the wonderful city elbow. Luckily we didn't have to wait an hour to do the aedge we was just starting to get restless and had just sat down when got called to do the Edge. The Edge involves stepping into a capsule, rather like a lift which juts out from the building when hydrolics are operated. There is a sound system that puts on a thunder/lightning storm, the glass is electronically controlled so it is opaque as the capsule moves outside of the building. Once it juts out the glass changes to semi clear and is a little scratched but you still get a chance to take a good look around and take in the view. Only thing is you can't take your pictures whilst on the edge which was abit disappointing so if you want a picture you need to buy the one there took. Luckily was only 3 groups 9 people off 2 couples and a family off five so at least gave us plenty of time to move around the glass cube as only get about 10 minutes. Ended up buying the souvenir picture as thought need to remember the experience and luckily was a nice clear day for a spectacular view. After doing the Skydeck walked along he Southbank which was a lovely place to meander lazily along the river and enjoy the sunny day. Walked past Federation Square to find the graffiti and found the Dreamworks Animation exhibition at the Australian Centre. Where found statues of Madagascar off the penguins and giraffe outside the building so had to have my pictures taken with them, but Tiago didn't have one as a kid jumped in after me. We then found the street graffiti as Melbourne is known for its unique expressions of art but unfortuantely not as good as last time. Afterwards was then for my birthday treat so thought would go to tearoom and found one we wrnt to lady time but queue was too long. So ended up going to Hopetoun tearoom which is in a most charming 19th century arcade block. This cosy tearoom was so inviting with the scrumptious display of cakes, tarts, cheesecakes and scones in the window. We waited in line for abit you just have to be prepared to queue luckily the queue moved quiet quickly. Once seated the queue was even longer and was inside was so much choice had a great selection off cakes and teas. Decided to share a lime tart, scones and a pot of tea with green tea and passion fruit as thought best try a different one. All was delicious would definitely go back again, even the main dishes looked tempting and was definitely worth the wait and must for my birthday treat. Unfortuantely after all that was time to head back to the Southern Cross train station as aim to be there 3.30pm and trust us to just miss the tram. But wasn't that far too walk only 10-15mins and when got to station just saw the Skybus pulling away then next one arrived. On way out off Melbourne saw the Melbourne star Observation Wheel which looked to offer amazing views will have to do next time come here. By time got to airport was there in plenty off time no rushing this time checked in on computers and even had time for hot chocolate before went though check in. Once in check in lounge didn't have to wait long to start boarding, even departed on time at 5.10pm and I had window seat this time. Landed a few minutes earlier than estimated time at 6.35pm then get train and bus home. Didn't really have time to eat out so just got a take away pizza as speaking to Mum and Dad later on Skype for my birthday. Spoke to Mum and Dad on Skype just after 8pm but didn't even have time to open my presents before I spoke so couldn't thank them for my gifts. As soon as got of Skype opened my presents and very pleased with my gifts got charms for Thomas Sabo bracelet from Sarah a clover and Mum & Dad got me a flip flop. Also got some clothes a Star skirt, Joules dress from Sharon, Ben & Ellie, Star top from Rachel, Joules navy top from Nanna. A few other things aswell like chocolate, Radley purse and still waiting on a few more presents to arrive which means my birthday will be extended. After opening all presents was going to speak to Sharon on Skype but had already gone out so she phoned me instead and got a birthday message from Ellie. So was a lovely birthday was a very special day and felt truly spoilt by Tiago he paid for most things in Melbourne.

New job

Well I know I said was finishing blog but thought would write now and again. So for anyone who doesn't know yet I have got a new job starting in 2 weeks. I applied for 2 jobs a children's one on a haematology ward at Randwick hospital closer to beach. Also a palliative job at same hospital I currently work which is a brand new unit. I had the children's interview on 26th may which went ok felt went better than last time also was asked similar questions. Then had the palliative interview on 2nd June which felt went a lot better only asked 5 questions which knew answers. Anyway found out on Wednesday that got palliative job unfortuantely still not heard about the children's one even though phoned them twice. Is just so annoying as last time heard straight got an email saying unsuccessful but this time nothing so I assume did not get it. Think would off preferred the children's one as that's what I have always wanted to do but I suppose just not meant to be. But I have always had an interest in palliative in last placement at uni requested hospice which didn't get unfortuantely. So looking forward to a new challenge and will be nice to work in a brand new unit is only one other person going from my ward. Even though when it was first mentioned lots said there would apply but obvisiously decided to stay. Have been telling people at work now that I am leaving and a few are shocked as didn't realise I had applied for it. But like I said to them not going to broadcast it until knew had job and been on my ward now for 2 years so ready for a change. Also this year as been very busy but seems to off got better since a new manager started also from England, Sheffield so a fellow Yorkshire person. So since last wrote have been busy parents and their friends came and went home was lovely to see them and planning to come again next year. Was hoping to go home in June or September but unfortuantely couldn't get holiday but then gave me June at last minute and flights too expensive. So I am now planning to go home Easter next year which will be nice as will off been 21 months since last home. Moved out off my place in Rhodes as owner sold place and person who bought wanted to move was going to continue living with Vanessa and Roberto. But then turned out that we wanted different things like expected us to spilt the rent half not 3 which didn't think was fair. So I moved in with Tiago temporary whilst looking for another found somewhere near Strathfield but room I wanted already gone by time did application. So decided to stay with Tiago as things and travelling not to bad takes a hour by public transport but might have to think about getting a car. Tiago's parents left to go back to Brazil but planning to come back once organised a few things at home went for nice meal at waterfront overlooking opera house and bridge before there left. Went on Vivid cruise last Friday with Tiago which was nice got to see the lights from afar which were very beautiful also got buffet food and 3 drinks. Vivid festival is a unique annual event of lights, music, ideas and the spectular illumination of Sydney's ironic sails on the Sydney Opera House. Here are a few pictures since last wrote and some off my purchases.
