Meet Olympians

So Monday 20th August and was watching the news whilst having breakfast. Saw that the Australian Olympic team were going to be in Sydney doing a parade. So me and Bianca decided we would go to city and see if we could catch it. Unfortunately by the time we got to city there was no parade to see. But their was lots of confetti on the road and people with blue wigs. Not quite sure why blue wigs and never did find out.
We wandered down to circular quay and could hear some noise. Was hoping might be Olympians but it wasn't. It was just some brazil dancers with not much on and drums. Their was also a London red bus there. So we thought we had missed them, was abit disappointed. So decided to go to French connection shop and buy my star jumper. Got for £10 less as had ticket on but had to phone their manager first who said was fine.
Whilst here thought might aswell go look at Opera house. When going round saw people getting off bus in Australian Olympic team uniform. Me and Bianca both could not decide if real or fake so thought would follow to see where they went. Their went to bar under Opera house and was loads of them decided definitely real. As lots of people trying to get pictures if them. We got picture with Dave Smith the gold medalist for K4 1000m canoe sprint. He was very good had lots of pictures taken as loads of school kids in front of us. But I suppose he had just got gold medal so wanted to show it off. Then it was time for coffee and apple strudel. After that we saw them leaving and felt like a big kid as wanted more pictures. I got two more picture both with bronze medalist girls and I looked so short. I think it must of been some of the basketball team!!
It was then time to leave circular quay and head back but went to harbourside on route. As wanted to look in USA outlet but didn't have anything. Showed Bianca the English sweet shop we got done Bon bons. We then shared a malteser mcflurry but wasn't as good as it looked and a lot more expensive than England. It was then time to head back home after a very exciting day
