Hunter Valley night away

Woke up 10ish but didn't get moving til 11ish was going to go to breakfast at Rhodes centre then Tiago realised he didn't have his wallet. Ended up searching my room and his car but unfortunately didn't find but then he remembered last time used was at petrol station last night. When Tiago saw my lugguage he was abit surprised at the size and said it is only for one night, I said but you never know what you might need. So went to the petrol station and sort of found wallet as someone had found it last but didn't want to leave so left his number. Tiago phoned him up then had to arrange to meet him before heading to Hunter Valley as did offer to send via post but obvisiously would be no good as needed now. Arranged to meet him at shooting range at Cecil Park and think arrived about the same time then time to head to Hunter Valley. Whilst on route to Hunter Valley realised still not really eaten only jelly sweets so stopped at service station on route for food. So by time got to Hunter Valley was 4ish so checked in at our hotel staying at Mecure resort Hunter Valley Gardens, very nice. The hotel is great location is in walking distance to a few wineries, gardens and Hunter Valley Village. So we dropped our stuff off then time to go exploring went to Brokenwood winerie first where tried a few wines got cricket pitch white and tawny. Then to McGuigan winerie where was time to try some reds as Tiago prefer reds but thought the black label was too sweet so got shiraz 2012. We then looked in the cheese shop next where got to try a few and got some cheese and crackers for later. By time got back to hotel was too late to go look round Hunter Valley village so instead got pool towel and went round the pool. It was still quite warm round the pool then went in the  jacuzzi, did have a dip in pool but still very cold and then into sauna. Once back get changed and time for dinner decided to go to the steakhouse in the hotel which was very nice both had steak. Was tempted to go the Irish pub for a drink afterwards but found out that it was abit of a walk so decided against . Instead just back to room to have our cricket pitch wine with cheese outside but then the bugs were been annoying so had to come inside. It was then time to try the bath as it had a glass ceiling so thought be rude not to try and look at the stars, definitely a nice touch. We both ended up falling asleep without realising the time and didn't even finish our tawny wine. Woke up 9ish but then had another kip started moving 10ish but was a good job we got late check out for 12. But unfortunately we missed breakfast at the hotel so walked to Hunter Valley Village and went to the Taste of the Country. Which looked very nice had a pretend cow outside but service was very slow but food good had banana pancakes. Time then to look round the shops wandered over to golfing first were can play aqua gold or putt putt but decided against having a go. Was a few shops and showed Tiago the delights of British sweet shop but too much choice but Tiago got sine sugared almonds. It was then time for coffee as not had one yet and go to the cookie shop but not as good as expected then look round cellar door but got no more wine. Decided against looking round the a Hunter Valley Gardens but definitely will have to do at some point which spans over 25 acres. Left just before 3 and was quite abit of traffic on way back tempted to go to sleep but thought best not as not really fair on Tiago. Got back just after 5 Tiago came in for tea then had to leave since at work tomorrow and had to fill in application for new place. After he left I watched neighbours and home& away then went to Coles to get something but not sure what I really wanted. Ended up getting a antipasto box which was reduced was very nice, fall asleep on sofa 9ish and went to bed 11ish.
