Watson and Luna park

Friday 25th january got up 8.30 had breakfast, watched TV for abit and played on Internet then it was time to actually go do something. So me and Debbie got a multi pass as planning to go a few places today got train to city and then ferry to Watson Bay as Debbie not been yet. Watson Bay is a harbourside located on the southern head of the entrance to Sydney Harbour. To the east is the Tasman Sea and to the west is the Harbour with a glorious view of the city of Sydney in the distance. The Bay is famous for being the home of the first Doyles Restaurant. The site on which the restaurant now stands is where Doyle originally sold his daily fish catch in 1845. It's well worth the trip to Watsons Bay to eat at the restaurant or, alternatively, for a more informal meal, buy a take-away lunch from Doyles' fish and chip outlet, located on the wharf. Decided to get fish and chips from the take-away place and eat in their cafe still not sure on the plum sauce with it and had a nice glass of wine with it, dont think was as goid as last time Manly still favourite. We then had a stroll round Watson bay and it is very picturesque as on the promenade has small different coloured boats lining the top of the promenade. We then just missed the ferry back so decided to go look at 'The Gap' which is on the ocean cliff of the south head peninsula of Watson Bay. The Gap is formed from Sydney sandstone is part of Sydney National park and is a well known place for suicides in Australia.
We then got the ferry back to circular quay and then caught another ferry to Luna Park which is an amusement park located at Milsons Point on the northern shore of Sydney harbour. First was to get picture of the famous Luna park entrance which is a clown face and can see from many spots in Sydney. Then off to get our tickets and since we had a day pass we got 20% off the price so then time to go have some fun on the rides. First stop was Ferris wheel and got lovely views of the harbour so obvisiously had to take more picture even though got plenty of bridge and opera house. Next was the Tango Train which is Luna parks most popular ride which has a retro disco theme it ends you hurtling round the track first backwards then forwards. It was so much fun you think the bump is the favourite dance of anyone on the ride as the force sends you sliding into one another while you bounce around the track. It was then off to explore Coney Island as Debbie never did it next time which has some amusement and got to go down in slide in sack. We then went on the spider where got to enjoy the thrill of being thrown side to side at fantastic, then back to Luna park. Where next stop was the Tumblebug which lives up to it's name as each car tumbles around in the air, swinging from side to side while spinning on larger rotating arms, just try not to think how many times spinning or will end up really dizzy! It was then time to have a drink as was a hot day and so thirsty all this fun off going on these rides. We then got to meet all the characters Luunabob and Lunabella and felt like a big kid as had picture taken with them. It was then time to go back on the Tango Train which was just as much fun 2nd time round wasn't sure about the Flying Saucer ride so gave it a miss this time.
We then caught the ferry to darling harbour to go get something to eat decided to go to plate as we do like it there. I wasn't really sure what I wanted so went for two small plate but unfortunately it wasn't as good as normal and no puddings we fancied. So we went to Hard Rock Cafe for pudding had Apple cobbler which was a country favourite, served warm with vanilla ice
cream, topped with walnuts and caramel sauce. It was very nice but was far too much couldn't finish it all and obvisiously had to have a cocktail to wash it down with and then time to head home.
