Monday 4th February up 7.30 to speak to mum and dad on Skype and good connection for a change. Then went for a run with Debbie the usually route round bicenntial park did 1.34 miles. Then went to Rhodes to post mums present as be nice for it to arrive on time and get some groceries. On late at work and felt abit ditzy must still be tired from doing my nights. We opened to 24 patients but when I left we still only had 20 patients, tired to send NMC form but wouldn't send probably as off to England. On Tuesday was going to get up at 8 for run but pressed snooze button must of needed it after my nights eventually got up at 9.30. Instead went to Rhodes to sort out my NMC form as need to get it sent before take me off register cost $10 to fax from post office met Debbie and Bianca there. On another late at work and was team leader our patient who been with over 100 days died was quite upsetting as got to know the family well. We had an English patient and had a giggle about English programmes but how good comedy's are etc which probably was what needed, when left only had 15 patients.
Wednesday on a early and all at work for a change so all got to walk together, but Bianca on a long day. Had a nice shift only had 8 patients, Me and Michelle actually had time to sort out the staff room as we now have a cleaning roster and that's ours me February and Michelle march but were joint together makes it easier. When got home went to gym with Debbie went on treadmill and ran 2.19 miles in 20 minutes which happy with. I then made tea gnocchi with red pesto, salami and feta didn't really need the salami as red pesto had a slight kick but their cooking is trial and error. Then we went to the cinema to see 'Silver Lining Playbook' which is about how life doesn't always go according to plan. Pat Solatano (Bradley Cooper) has lost everything -- his house, his job, and his wife. He now finds himself living back with his mother (Jacki Weaver) and father (Robert DeNiro) after spending eight months is a state institution on a plea bargain. Pat is determined to rebuild his life, remain positive and reunite with his wife, despite the challenging circumstances of their separation. All Pat's parents want is for him to get back on his feet-and to share their family's obsession with the Philadelphia Eagles football team. When Pat meets Tiffany (Jennifer Lawrence), a mysterious girl with problems of her own, things get complicated. Tiffany offers to help Pat reconnect with his wife, but only if he'll do something very important for her in return. As their deal plays out, an unexpected bond begins to form between them, and silver linings appear in both of their lives. There is some charm to the story, but the final act is very neat and predictable but basically 'Silver Linings Playbook' is an intelligent, edgy dark comedy with romance at its core. But I still enjoyed and one main reason why you should see this film, is to admire the wonderful performances from Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence.
Thursday woke up 6 but went back to sleep then and then when got up went for run with Debbie did 1.20 miles and pace under 9 best it's been for a while. Then we went to Rhodes for breakfast and went to 'Lily's' for a change and had poached eggs on toady was good nice runny eggs but forget tomato sauce. Then had to go to work but debbie off lucky for some i was on a late but still only had 18 patients and a few staff off sick but felt like we had more than 18 patients. On Friday on a early shift with Bianca so glad one off the staff from yesterday changed from late to early otherwise would of been very hectic. We had a MET call and there seemed to take twice as long to get jobs done as Drs just didn't seem to be listening, never a good thing. Then when got home me and Debbie off to Harbourside to go bowling as never been and sounded like fun. Kingpin Bowling Lounge at Harbourside Shopping Centre – Darling Harbour is good day or night to bowl, drink and party. With 20 state-of-the-art tenpin bowling lanes, the only indoor laser skirmish arena in the CBD and fully licensed bar set in a funky and sophisticated environment to dazzle your senses. We decided to just have a game of bowling but thought it was quite expensive was $16 each a game was fun but me and Debbie definitely not the best at it got one strike was very close but Debbie just won. It was then for food went to 'Waterfront grill' had the dinner offer which was steak and a glass of wine. We looked at sweet menu but nothing we fancied so went to McDonalds and had a McFlurry but won't as good as English ones, then home as busy day tomorrow.
