Boxing Day up early to supposedly speak to mum and dad on Skype but not working so ended up phoning them instead. I then got the train to city and got into the city for 10.15 and first stop kookai which had to queue to get it. Their had a very good sale most things 50% off so I bought 2 dresses and got 2 for Bianca through a numerous amount of phone calls. We also got Debbie the bracelet to match her necklace which got her for Christmas and going to give tonight as secret Santa for our next Christmas Day. It was then to Nine West to see if there had a sale on which their did was 40% off so had to buy those shoes which I liked. Then my aim was to go watch the Sydney to Hobart race which starts from Nielson Park in Sydney Harbour. The Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race is an annual ocean yacht race, considered to be one of the most difficult in the world. It starts at Sydney Harbour on Boxing Day and finishes a few days later in Hobart just before New Year's Eve celebrations it is approximately 1,170 kilometres (630 nautical miles) away. The start of the colourful spectacle can be seen from many vantage points around Sydney Harbour. So my aim was to get to Watson Bay as supposedly get a good view from there but wasn't sure if ferry would be running so decided to catch bus. Put in transport link but it changed it to Watson road instead of bay so was at wrong stop which I knew it was in away. But I knew it would be too late to get to the other stop in time to see the start of the race at 13.00 hrs. So instead I went to the top of the Opera house in the hope of seeing some of the yacht was there for over an hour. I did see some yachts but unfortunately I don't think it was ones from the yacht race so I never got to see it, will have to cone nest year instead. Afterwards went to botanical gardens and took a few pictures in black and white off the opera house & bridge and the little train.
It was then off to get something to eat went to the Pie Face as still not tried a pie yet. The Pie Face pies are gourmet pies either savoury or sweet which are handmade especially for you. Their are baked fresh every day which are deep-dish pie filled with the freshest ingredients and the aim is not to go away hungry. I tried the chunky steak pie which was good but messy should of used a knife and fork but will definitely try again as lots of flavours to choose from, might even try sweet next time. I then went to look round the shops again and it was still very busy see picture enclosed and went to look round David jones. Where I bought myself a Clairns gift set as which had the one step orange exfoliating cleanser in it. I then went to look at shoes and found some lovely jimmy Choo's but weren't in the sale were silver sandals but still over $500. It was then to look at coach bags which were in the sale but still expensive and saw Viv from work there. By this time was 5ish so decided best head back for my Christmas dinner again and missed train and phone dead. So by time got home dinner was ready having roast chicken, mash, carrots and broccoli and with Jen's gingerbread stuffing and bread sauce with crackers. Was very nice then time to open our Christmas presents got a star necklace from Jen, star bracelet from Bianca and a picture frame from Debbie. Anyone would think that their was a theme for me stars as the picture frame also had stars on. Then we had room for pudding Christmas pudding with brandy custard as have to have Christmas pudding on Christmas Day.
